If Shikamaru had his own show... this would be his opening, but without Naruto. Just Shikamaru and his teammates.
We get an opening about the guy who was once called the laziest at the academy... Shikamaru. Yeah, it's crazy because he was considered lazy, but he was also a genius. The guy has an IQ over 200 for crying out loud. He was one of my favorite characters before this arc.
Anyway, this is the opening when Asuma died... literally, the first time I ever seen Shikamaru shed a tear. I never really liked Asuma, considering the fact that we've mostly seen Kakashi as a sensei to Team 7. But after watching those flashbacks Team 10 had with Asuma, that tells me that he was a fantastic sensei. He was like a father to his team, a role model even.

When Shikamaru broke down to his father... and let's not forget how he didn't show up to the funeral. My favorite part in this whole arc is when he got his revenge and killed Hidan.
Team 10 really developed in this arc and after throughout the whole second series, mainly Shikamaru.
