chapter 12

Anne Pov:

as the day went on Anne went to all of her classes until the bell went for lunch Anne walked outside to sit by a tree and she sat down in deep thought when someone came and tapped her shoulder to get her attention and when Anne turned to her she sees Marcy standing there looking down at her with a small smile on her face

Marcy: Hay Anne so can we talk?

Anne: sure we can Marcy

Marcy smiles and sits down next to Anne and there is a few seconds of silence until Marcy looks Anne in the eyes with a serious look on her face Anne doesn't know what to do so she just looks away from Marcy

Anne: so um where is Sasha

Marcy: oh she is falling behind on one of her classes so she is catching up on her work

Anne: of right that's fair then am fine

Marcy: so um can we get to what we talked about earlier

Anne: oh um mean how you think something is going on with me and the answer is still the same that nothing is going on I am fine

Marcy: and you forget I can see right through you really can we have known each other forever now I can see when you are putting on an act so you need to start being honest with yourself and the people who care about you

Anne: Marcy how can you say that you care about me I moved we have not seen each other in years and when I do come back you still think everything is the same like I am the same person I was before I moved To guess what I am not Marcy im, but not that kid anymore you do not know what I have gone through so please just accept that this is the person I am now

Marcy: then open up and tell me what you went through talk to me open you I'm here to listen Anne I want to understand what made you change so much please listen let me help I wanna know

Anne: Marcy you don't and I don't want to talk about it so why are you pushing this so damn much

Marcy: because you are my friend Anne I care about you and that will never change

Anne: heh you know you have not changed a bit from when we were kids still as smart as ever Marcy you always know when something is up even when the person is trying to hide it as best they can and somehow you always know what to say its amazing

Marcy: well I guess I have a gift you know so you ready to talk about it

Anne: you're not gonna give up till I tell you right

Marcy: nope  you are right i keep going to keep asking till you tell me

Anne: well I guess I don't have much of a choice do I then but promise me something if I do tell you this

Marcy: fine what is it

Anne: ok I want you to not get involved

Marcy: I mean it depends on what it is but sure I guess I can do that

Anne: fine I will tell you just don't be mad

Marcy: I'm listening

Anne: ok so um well how do I say this you see when I moved away with my parents their jobs were not going to plan and so they took their frustration on me

Marcy: what do you mean your parents they are the nicest people how I remember it

Anne: not anymore they have changed but I might as well tell you the full story

Anne looks down at her hands with a sad look on her eyes and marcy just looked at her with a worried look in her eyes
