Chapter 13

Anne POV

As Anne was looking down at her hands thinking about what to say next to Marcy she finally looked her in the eyes still with a worried look in her eyes

Anne: so this is gonna be hard to talk about but I trust you enough so you see after we moved away to that new town thing were normal for a couple of months then things started to go wrong and my mum and dad started to change

Anne looked back down at her hands as she was thinking about they sudden change her parent had after that first mouth of mouthing away then she looked back up at Marcy and started to explain everything

Flashback Anne is a 13 teen year after a month of living there Anne is walking home from school with a worried look on her face as she walk toward her home when she makes it inside she is met with unhappy parents standing at the door waiting for her to come in with a unpleasant look on their faces

Anne: um Mum Dad I am home

Mr Boonchuy: we can see that brat and we need to talk to you

Anne: oh ok what do you need to talk to me about

Mrs Boonchuy: oh well let me think here you are failing maths and English we raised you better than this how can you be such a failure and now you are gonna face punishment do you understand me

Anne just looked at the ground and nodded her head so that they knew she understood both of them just stares at her for a few minutes until her father decided to speak up

Mr Boonchuy: so for your punishment brat is that you will have no meals for two days and you will not be allowed to leave your room without our permission do we make ourselves clear brat

Anne: yes Dad I understand

Mrs Boonchuy: good now go to your room go

Anne nodded her head and started to walk up the stairs into an old run-down room and sat on her bed just looking at the floor with a sad look on her face all Anne could hear was her parents getting drunk After Anne was down explaining she was still looking at Marcy with a blank expression on her face and just had a shocked look on her face unsure what to say next

Anne: after that, it kept on going downhill from there my parents kept on getting worse and worse until I felt that I had to put up this mask to hide my feeling so people would not know what I was feeling and also I kept up this mask so that my parent won't see how broken I am but all the thing they have done over the years I just got used to it t is normal to me now it would not be right if they didn't let me eat or hit me that would be strange and I know I should not feel like that but I do sometimes I think I do deserve this and maybe I should not even be here so that I would not get in the way

Marcy: Anne...are this for real

Anne: yeah it is for real they are not the same people when you knew them they have changed

Marcy: Anne we need to get you out of that house away from them

Anne: Marcy I do not want you to get involved in this ok I don't so stay out of this i don't want you to get hurt

Marcy: But Anne how can you ask that of me you are my friend how can you even think I would let you go through this alone

Anne: because....no never mind

Marcy: no Anne tell me please tell me

Anne: because .... because I love you I am in love with you Marcy and It would kill me if you got hurt so I can handle this alone I don't want you just to drop and try to help me because you would just get hurt

After Anne said this Marcy was in shock she didn't know how to reply but a blush did spread across her face when she got closer to Anne and pulled her into a hug with a small smile on her face

Marcy: Anne I feel the same way about you I always have I knew how I felt as soon as you left back when you moved but AnneIi am gonna help you I don't care if I get hurt in the process at all I gonna have your back no matter what

Anne: but feeling or not I can't let you get involved

Marcy: well too bad Anne I am if you like it or not you've been through enough and I am gonna help you

Anne: you know you can be very stubborn you know that

Marcy: look who talks you're just as stubborn but Anne I am gonna help you i care too much about you to not#

Anne: ....fine I guess I don't have a choice then but just be careful, please

Marcy: I will you have my word and maybe um if you want we could like to hang out as a date

Anne: wait really??

Marcy: I mean yeah we both like each other so yeah maybe let's hang out but like a date what you say

Anne: I would like that Marcy
