An hour later, Sadie lined up with the rest of the campers as Nicole and Gary explained the first activity.
"You'll be split into groups of three, you're on a scavenger hunt to find items on a list. You'll be given a camera per group and you must take pictures of the items on the list, once you think you've found everything meet back here, first group to take a picture of everything on the list will receive a prize," Nicole explained.
"There are rules to this task, so follow them or face the consequences," Gary added.
As he began explaining the rules, Sadie rolled her eyes, she heard Christian whisper into her ear. "This is so boring." She nodded in agreement and just laughed. Stella noticed this, and raised up her hand.
Gary sighed. "Yes, Stella what is it?"
"Sadie's trying to sabotage me," she whined.
"Am not," Sadie shouted.
"Are too," Stella shouted.
Gary just sighed again, he was over this job. "Look, if you two can't get along then I'm afraid you won't be participating in the activity."
"Fine by me," Sadie shrugged.
"I want to participate, I do, I just don't want Sadie do anything to ruin it," Stella said.
Sadie clenched her fists, what did Stella have against her? She's didn't know, but her lack of respect towards her infuriated her, she had dealt with bitches like Stella her whole life but never had they had the audacity to say anything to her face, it was always behind her back. Sadie attempted to lunge forward at Stella but Christian pulled her back.
"Let go of me," she shouted elbowing Christian in the stomach.
That's what made Christian let go of her, she was just about to swing her fist again at Stella until Nicole blew her whistle. "ENOUGH!" she screamed. "Sadie, Stella to my office right now. The rest of you follow Gary for your first activity."
Christian eyed Sadie, but didn't say anything to her, he gave her a small smile and headed off with the rest of the group. Sadie and Stella followed Nicole down to her office, she crossed her arms, her voice serious and stern. "Honestly, it's your second...well not even your second and you're already starting fights Sadie, what's up with that? And you Stella, stop leading her on," Nicole explained, disappointment in her voice.
"I'm sorry Nicole, I don't know what came over me. I guess I was just a bit grumpy and annoyed because I didn't sleep well," Stella lied.
"Oh, that's quite alright dear."
Sadie rolled her eyes at this story, knowing bullies and people pretty well she could always tell whenever they were lying and this was one of the most pathetic lies she had ever heard in her life. "That's bullshit," she muttered, her voice not being heard by Nicole nor Stella.
"I'm sorry Sadie, I didn't hear you could you elaborate?" Nicole asked.
"I said Stella's story is bullshit," repeated Sadie practically screaming.
"Excuse me? Look, I don't know what's gotten into both of you but just leave each other alone, no more fighting," Nicole said.
"I can't promise that," Sadie smirked.
Nicole sighed, she let Sadie and Stella leave her office. "You may have Nicole fooled Stella, but you don't fool me," Sadie said.
"Pshh, you think you have me all figured out, don't you?" Stella asked.
"I most certainly do," Sadie replied.
"Alright bitch, enlighten me."
Sadie could always tell by how bullies act that they had some bullshit sop story, she was just that type of girl.
"I'll enlighten you, bitch. Your father left you when you were young, and you don't get much attention from your mother so you act out for attention, not getting it you lash out at others thinking it will wash all that sadness and anger away but it really doesn't. You think you're cool by pretending to be popular and attracting boys but really you're just frustrated with your miserable life so you'd rather seek attention from anyone rather than staying in the shadows and letting yourself be picked on," Sadie explained.
Stella's jaw dropped, partly this was true. "Are you some kind of psychic? Whatever, it doesn't matter, I still hate you. So, you know what I'm going to do?"
"What are you going to do?" Sadie asked, smirking.
"You'll see, at 8:30 tonight."
Stella trudged off, as she did Sadie noticed a 50 dollar note hanging out of Stella's shorts pocket. Stella didn't even notice Sadie had just slipped it out of her pocket and twirled it in her fingers.
