Milly: Clea apologized to me. It's a huge misunderstanding lang pala. She didn't hate me at all. She was just sorry all this time kasi she felt like inagaw niya family ko from me and she didn't know how to express that shame and guilt :( She thought I was blaming her. And that I was only acting nice to her so there won't be any drama. After seeing my texts to Kins, that's when she realized lang na everything had been genuine.
Milly: Turns out, baby, that she's been wanting to reach out to me na rin pala. She's just shy and didn't know what to say.
Kairos: Di rin naman niya kasalanan. Parehas kayong walang kasalanan sa nangyari.
Milly: Yeah, that's what I told her too.
Kairo: Naklaro mo na ba yung mga gusto mong sabihin sa kanya?
Milly: I did. We cried. And then Kins and Lia cried because we were crying. And before I knew it, even Yohan's crying. Dad came home and was surprised to find all of us crying haha if you'd seen us, it was a mess. Tita Kat ended the night with a bowl of ice cream.
Milly: She apologized to me too. For being with my dad while he was married to my mom. But how can I fault her for that? It was Mom who basically opened the marriage after all.
Kairos: Did you forgive her?
Milly: You know I thought I didn't resent her or any of them. But after she apologized, it's like a thorn got dislodged from my heart. And I just felt good after, babe. As if I've been waiting for that my whole life. I think I did forgive her. Dad too. I wish I can say the same about my mom but we'll get there. It's still a bit rough w her.
Kairos: Di naman natin kailangan madaliin. Pero mainam na nakakausap mo na sila kesa kinikimkim mo lahat. How do you feel about it now?
Milly: Relieved. Like a shit ton of block has been lifted from my shoulders. You? How's your day today?
Kairos: Kinausap ako ni Papa ngayon.
Milly: What did he say?
Kairos: Kinamusta yung mukha ko.
Milly: Did he apologize for hitting you at least? :(
Kairos: No. But I think that's the closest thing I can get to an apology. Di ko rin naman kailangan na humingi siya ng tawad. Ang kailangan ko, magkaayos na sila ni Mama. Nang makaalis na ko. Hindi naman dapat ako ang sumusuporta sa kanya ngayon.
Milly: Why is it so hard for parents ba to admit when they're wrong? Nakakababa ba talaga ng pride? It's sad that we have to be okay w the bare minimum coz we know we can't get anything more than that na.
Milly: So how is it? How did your talk go? Are you on better terms now?
Kairos: Maayos naman yung kumpanya. Maayos din yung trabaho. Maliban sa problema nila ni Mama, wala na siyang pwedeng ibato sakin. Di rin kami masyadong nag-usap. Kinamusta niya lang si Mama.
Kairos: Di ko na sinabi yung plano ko. Baka pigilan niya pa.
Kairos: Pero may nagbago kay Papa. Di ko alam kung dahil ba naghiwalay sila ngayon pero di siya katulad ng dati.
Milly: What kind of change? 😟
Kairos: He's less abrasive. More mellow. Parang pagod. Parang di nakakatulog.
Milly: :(
Milly: You think it's because of the cheating issue? Or bc they're not okay rn?
Kairos: Siguro.
Kairos: Baka nga tama ka.
Kairos: Baka nga mahal ni Papa si Mama kahit na ganyan sila.
Milly: I hope they clear up the misunderstanding soon. When your mom was showing us your baby videos, she keeps mentioning how your dad constructed your house because he wanted to give all of you a pleasant living space. She sounds so proud of him. I think she loves him din talaga. You and Kylie won't be here din naman if not for that. I mean, they lasted this long. There must be something in there even though you think your parents are cold and incapable of loving warmly.
Milly: There must be something we're not seeing.
Kairos: Kung ano pa man yan, dapat ayusin na nila. Naaapektuhan na rin si Kylie sa ginagawa nila.
Milly: She was afraid nga na they'll divorce :( I feel her :( I hope she never experiences having a broken family.
Milly: How's your search pala? Any luck?
Kairos: About that, I have news. Nahanap na sila ni Kuya. Nasa Zambales daw. Patay na yung papa niya. Pero buhay pa yung nanay. Samahan mo ko. Gusto ko silang makita.
Milly: I'll be there. When is this?
Kairos: Sa Sabado.
Milly: Okay, baby. Let's meet your family. Maybe we can visit Lolo na rin after. Give him a little surprise or something.
Kairos: Sige. Pag-usapan na lang natin mamaya. Tawag ako bago ka matulog.
