Perth, Pond, Java, Joong, Aungpao, Gemini, and Prim gathered in "Forbidden Room 609", a place where the teachers and other Knights of Light believed no one should be.

Room 609 looked completely normal, maybe there was just too much pink in it.  The walls were pink, the neon signs were pink, one of which was in English and read: "Have a nice day". Even the empty flower pots on the window sill were pink. There was one, large, double bed, a big wardrobe for clothes and  a shelf with books, and part of the room was divided into a kitchen and it even had a bathroom.

A group of students from the Knights of Light Academy gathered in the sleeping area.  Gemini sat on the floor, poring over the class notes Dunk had provided him with.  Reading the same sentence over and over again and not understanding its meaning, he caught a fragment of the others' conversation.

“I'm telling you, I don't know anything about it.  It's some kind of fairy tale.  I don't believe it, you made it up just now”. Joong was arguing about something probably insignificant with Perth.

“You heard about it too! It will happen, I'm sure about it, you heard it too!” Perth stood his ground.

“When?”

“In class with Professor Tay!”

“Don't shout, someone will hear us”.  Gemini hissed, putting his index finger to his own mouth and ordering everyone to be quiet.

Every single person here knew that beyond a shadow of a doubt they shouldn't be here.  This was forbidden territory, there were legends about this place, but Gemini was completely unaware of them.  Norawit was never interested in superstitions, urban legends or ghost stories, which he put aside as fairy tales.  He believed in demons and poltergeists tho.

A pesky mosquito bit him on the cheek.  Gemini slapped his hand against the skin there.  Prim, sitting directly across from him, looked at him with her head tilted at an angle, and then he noticed an almost invisible, slightly brownish mark just below her ear.  Prim caught his gaze and immediately sat up straight, covering the mark with her hair as if she were ashamed of it.  Gemini frowned.  He was sure he had seen a similar mark somewhere before, but he couldn't remember where, and the one on Prim's neck was very faint and Norawit quickly realized that the girl was obviously trying to cover it up with makeup.

Clever.

Gemini decided he had to find a way to get a better look at this sign.  He was so deep in thought that he didn't notice when Perth stood behind him.  Perth hit Gem as hard as he could with a stack of blank sheets of paper on the back of his head.

“Ouch!  Are you crazy?!”

“Quiet!  Because someone may hear us!”    Perth thought it was funny to parody Gem from a while ago.

“Shut up.  You know what a serious task this is, don't make fun of it.  If this is fun for you, you can leave now, but there will be no coming back”.  Gemini didn't even realize that he now sounded like Professor Earth, one of the only two professors he had any respect for.

“Okay, tell me, what are you talking about?”

“Tell you, what are we talking about?  We talked about this legend, according to which a king was to appear whose reign would last only 33 days.  Everything indicates that it will be you, Master Gemini”. Pond said.

Gemini sensed that Pond, standing next to Perth, was mocking him.

Pond always played the cool guy who didn't care about anything and who was allowed to do anything because of his origins.  He and Joong Archen were best friends almost from cradle, as their mothers were neighbors and friends who raised their sons together.  When one of the mothers couldn't take care of her son, she left him under the care of the other mother and she could always take care of her own affairs.
