Prt 2. (Continue of 五十二-btw, I added a bit more lines in 五十二. So you might want to read the whole thing before reading this. Sorry.)

Flashback

I shyly stared at afar staring at him. He was at the giant basketball court, practicing. Oh how I wish I could openly cheer for him...but...I'm just another one of his secret admirers.

"Reith! I  really like you!" A girl walks in, with an envelope, and  a box of chocolates." She smiles, hoping Reith would accept the confession. "Sorry." He says, not even looking her way.

"But why? Shouldn't you at least try dating me? I'm popular and-" "I said no. Please go away. I have...someone I like already." He frowns. "You what?! Who is she?" The girl stomps her foot angrily.

For a second, I swear he looked this way, into my eyes, but then he turns to look at the girl. "It's none of your business." He says, and walks to the change room.

The girl huffs, throws the chocolate in the garbage and storms away. I just sat there in a daze. He has someone he likes? Who is it? It must be one of those very popular people.

"Hey. How long are you going to continue to  stalk me?" He asks. I blushed. When did he get here? But as usual, whenever I got close to him, my heart starts beating faster and I can barely talk.

"I-I'm sorry." I ran out of there, holding my camera. "Hey wait! You forgot-" I didn't listen to the rest, as I couldn't hold the embarrassment in.

From that day on, I often wandered back to that day, always making me flush red. I can't believe I was caught like that... But something unexpected happened one day.

"Hey...you...this is your card right?" My eyes widened. In his hand, he was holding my bus card, the same exact one I lost. "I...yes...thank you-" I tried to grab it, but he reaches his hands away.

"?" I looked at him in full confusion. "I want...something...a repayment...how about a kiss?" He smiles cheekily. "---!" My face flushed red once again. I ran away, but this time before I could get far, he grabs my wrist.

"Hey, I was just joking! Don't run again!" He says handing my card back to me. "Thank you..." I smiled. I was forever going to treasure this card. "No problem. Just keep track of your stuff next time." He smiles.

We became good friends from that day on. But perhaps...at some point we became more than friends. It was unspoken, but it was there. We loved each other.

One day, he told me something. "(Y/n). I got...accepted into the prestigious school of business in...Herwaya..." Reith says quietly.

"...con...congratulations..." I smiled. I didn't want to hold him back from this big future he had coming up. Once he heard my words he looked...sort of upset.

It was like he was wishing I could've said something else. But how could I? I was not a person to...do that. "Can I...tonight...can I hold you in my arms for one last time...?" He smiles.

I could note the sadness in his tone. "Yes. Of course." I nodded. That night, we clung to each other, it was if the world didn't exist...and only we did.

Once he left, my mom immediately found a husband for me to get married to straight away. I then told mom that I was pregnant. She called me a good for nothing, and kicked me out.

But god was...god never wanted me to live a life without suffering the worst. I was at home, watching the news one night.

"Plane number 293 Humming crashed this morning, when flying halfway to Herwaya. It was from Juin to Herwaya. These are the people that were found dead on the plane."

I couldn't believe my ears and eyes. What is this...this...can't be true right? I texted Reith. I texted, but he never responded. Suddenly, my texts got urgent. He should be in Herwaya right now...

Tears rolled down my face not believing this as what was listed down tore my insides.

I stared at the screen for what seemed like forever, until his name disappeared. That was when...maybe my most enjoyable time in life was ruined.

Present

...now that I think of it...something doesn't feel right. I feel like...Reith wouldn't have gone on that plane...I remember now, that he told me something important before.

It was about the assassins. As one of the heirs of a rich company, he was chased, and sought after by many. And that night...he said it a little openly...

But...it wouldn't make sense for a person to hide for so many years. The hope that I got was once again crushed. I sighed. Suddenly, Leyhanna runs towards me.

"Mama, there's a man standing at the door. He's requesting for you to see him. He says it's really urgent." Leyhanna says. I nod to her, and walk towards the door.

I swear to lord, that goddamn bastard James- but when I opened the door, it wasn't James. It was the grumpy guy who saved me. "Hi so-"

"I don't have a lot of money if you want me to repay you." I quickly said. He looks at me confused, before smiling. Wow. That's hot. He walks forward a little.

"No. I'm just here to give back your wallet that dropped last time." He smiles. Why did this scene...it felt so familiar... "Reith...?" I muttered.

"Yes?" He smiles. My eyes widen. So my guesses...they weren't entirely guesses after all... "You stupid idiot...you finally came back!" I said, tears rolling down.

"Mom, why are you crying? Did that bad guy make you sad?" Leyhanna asks. At the same time, Julie comes out, rubbing her eyes. "What's with the commotion?" She mutters, but then realizes.

I smiled, and nodded. Then, I bent down towards my daughter, who held her tight fists. "Leyhanna, I should tell you. This man over here, is your father." I smiled.

I stood up, and gestured towards Leyhanna. "This is your daughter Reith." I said. They stared at each other before both saying the same exact thing. "You're nothing like me." They frown.

I laugh. Perhaps god has listened to my prayers and decided to give me a new life.
