I watched the clock ticking. Annoying. 'Tick, tock, tick, tock' When will it stop? "(Y/n) we're here to ask you on what happened that night-" The man spoke, but I just rocked back and forth in my chair.
"I don't know. I don't know. Please, stop asking me! I don't remember, I don't know..." I muttered, ready to rip my hair off. Please. Stop asking. I can't answer anything for you guys.
"You're the only witness from that night (Y/n). We need your help to find out who the murderer is. We can't have then running on the loose like this." They said.
I muttered something else, and then bit my nails. "I can't say anything. He'll find me. I can't risk it." I muttered, hands going through my unkept hair.
"Who is he (Y/n)? Who is this guy you speak of?" He asks. "Shut up! I told you, I can't answer anything...just please...stop asking. Give me a break." I said, lying back on the chair.
I fumbled with my phone and looked at the messages. All the worry. I closed my phone, and just stared at the brown table in front of me.
"We'll have Lun with you for now. If you need to tell him anything, feel free." The guy says, and stands up. Another guy walks in, talks with him a little, and he walks out.
"Hey. My name's Lun. What's yours?" He asks. "...(Y/n)." I muttered, licking my dry lips. I didn't realize how dry they felt. I darted my eyes here and there across the room, nervous.
"There's no need to feel nervous. I'll just be...hm, let me find a right word for it. I'll be like a friend, who'll be living with you for a few days to look after you." He smiles.
I twirl through the locks of my hair pausing. So this was their game? To always have an eyes on me? "I won't give any details." I muttered, looking at my shoes.
"I'm not going to force anything out of you." He smiles. He gently touches my hands. "I'm here to help, and I just want you to know that okay? None of what happened was your fault." He whispered softly.
"You don't understand!" In a fit of anger, I stood up. "You don't understand-I disobeyed him-he!" I covered my mouth, realizing I've said more than I intended to.
"You didn't hear anything from me." I said, picking up the fallen chain and set it well before sitting back down on the chair. "...Why are you so scared of him?" He asks.
I just looked away, once again staring back to the clock ticking on the wall. "...alright. I see. Would you like to go back to your house now?" He asks, getting up from his chair, heaving a sigh.
I nodded, standing up and walking out the door. I could feel him walking close behind me, as our shoes squeaked. I fiddled with my fingers while walking. But then I remembered something.
"I don't have a car. How are we getting back to my house?" I ask him, frowning. "We'll use my car of course." He said, gently holding my hands and leading me towards his car.
"...you're not trying to sell me or something right?" I muttered. "If I wanted to do that, I could've done the moment the chief left." He scoffed, opening the door for me.
I hesitated, before getting in the seat. He was right. He could've taken me down any moment, and I would be on the way to some foreign land. He gets in the drivers seat and buckles himself.
"Address?" He asks. "Crescent road. 182." I said, looking out the window. I watched the road lights flickering. I could see moths going around the light, and finding a way to get closer.
"A weird obsession." I muttered. Just like him and I. "What did you say?" He asks. "Nothing. I was just talking to myself." I said, buckling myself in too.
