~Bakugou Katsuki's POV~
After Shinsou got taken away by the ambulance, and the police finished questioning us on what happened, they promptly left.
It didn't take a genius to figure out that the "hooded figure" was Ryuji. Still, somehow Mrs Shinsou wasn't aware this. Her son seemed to also think they were two different people, calling Ryuji "Undead" or what not.
I blinked, staring at the now-empty road.
Shinobu shushed me, so I'm assuming he doesn't want people to know that he and Undead are the same person, I thought, turning back to my house. The question is, who is Undead exactly?
It was around midday now. The weather was nice too, so I decided to go along with mums plan to take me to the beach.
The drive there was silent, both of us thinking hard about what happened. When we finally reached the car park, she turned to me seriously.
"I'm sure you came to the same conclusion." She stated. "We will keep the connection between Ryuji and the hooded guy a secret, alright? As we told the police, Ryuji escaped in the chaos, and we don't know who the shadowy figure was. Undead wasn't mentioned."
I nodded once, looking away. "Yeah. You don't need to tell me that."
"Alright then." She sighed.
It was rare for us not to yell at us, but contrary to popular beliefs we did have quiet moments like this.
"I'll walk home." I waved her off as I climbed out of the car.
And so, she drove off, leaving me alone.
The beach was oddly beautiful, the waves complimenting the cloudy sky well. The white sand was clean, not a speck of the usual rubbish present. It looked just like it did back when I was a kid.
Back when me and Deku came here for playdates, I remembered, his annoying smile flashing through my mind.
With a small growl I stomped down the stone steps, trudging across the shoreline, feet burying themselves in the sand with each step I took. Wind blew through my hair, sending a small chill down my spine.
Shinobu better explain everything next time I see him, I growled. Shinsou is obviously his brother, or at least some sort of relative. But... why can't I remember anything about him? I think we went to the same Junior High... Did we? He was such an insignificant brat that I forgot about him. Wait, but since he's related to Shinobu, shouldn't I know more?
Oh, I was pissed. Why did my mind go blank every time I thought about that fucker?!
I kicked a seashell out of anger, glaring at it as it flew across the sand. Just as I was about to look back at the waves, a familiar green bush of hair caught my attention.
I was in a bad mood before, and now I run into the nerd of all people? I seethed. I suppose giving him a good beating could put me in a better mood...
I stomped towards him, the hiss of the shifting sand beneath my feet catching Deku's attention. His eyes widened, the familiar glint of fear shining brightly in his green eyes. My frown deepened the closer I got to him.
"Oh, K-kacchan... H-hi..." Deku stuttered. "Wh-what brings you h-here?"
I didn't answer, but instead stood right in front of him, looking down at his pathetic form.
There's something... different about him, I narrowed my eyes. I noticed it back at UA too. Something happened. Something significant.
Deku was no longer skinny; bulging muscles were visible beneath his shirt. He stood taller too, although not quite as tall as me.
