Chapter Eleven : Confession

"I just saw him at the bakery," Yeji says, her voice a mixture of surprise and disbelief. "He was buying bread and ended up paying for my pastries."

Julia's widened eyes betrayed her shock and surprise at the situation. "Girl, you just can't catch a break, can you?" she said, shaking her head in disbelief.

"What if he knows you're like..."  Julia's words trailed off, but Yeji knew exactly what she was implying. The fear of Yeonjun finding out that she was pregnant gnawed at her, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt.

"I don't think he noticed anything odd," Yeji said, trying to convince herself more than Julia. "I didn't show any signs, right?" She couldn't help but worry that her secret might be written all over her face.

"But when are you planning to tell him?" Yeji sighed at the question, knowing she'd have to confront the topic eventually.

"I don't know... I just... it's just so hard," she admitted honestly. The weight of the situation seemed overwhelming, and she couldn't find the right words or the right moment to break the news to him.

"Not to mention telling mom and dad." Yeji's shoulders slumped as Julia brought up the topic of her parents. She'd been dreading the inevitable moment when she'd have to tell them about her pregnancy. The thought of their disappointment and possible backlash weighed heavily on her mind, making her stomach twist into knots.

As Yeji contemplated her situation, she knew she couldn't delay the inevitable. She had to talk to Yeonjun, to come clean about her pregnancy and see how he reacted. The thought made her heart flutter in her chest, a mix of dread and anticipation coursing through her veins.

Despite her worries and fears, she knew that she needed to be honest with him. He deserved to know the truth, and she owed it to him to have an open and honest conversation about what was happening in her life.

Meanwhile Chaeryeong was sitting at her desk, when something drew her attention to the window. There, she spotted a letter mysteriously resting on the windowsill.

Curiosity piqued, she got up from her chair and made her way over to the window. She carefully picked up the letter, wondering who it could be from and what it could contain.

"I told you I'll make a way... just place it back the window and I'll dispose it for us." Chaeryeong's heart skipped a beat as she read Taehyun's note. The thought of him going to such lengths to keep their communication a secret made her emotions swirl with a mix of excitement, touched, and guilt.

She placed the letter gently back on the windowsill, her heart fluttering with anticipation. Once it was in place, she stepped back, waiting for Taehyun to retrieve it.

Chaeryeong watched from her window as Taehyun hurried to retrieve the letter. His eagerness was evident as he darted towards her window, grabbed the note, and then quickly rushed back to his own window.

A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth as she watched him rush back. She couldn't help but feel a sense of thrill at their secret exchange.

Hours turned into days as Chaeryeong and Taehyun continued their secret exchange of notes. They discreetly passed messages to each other through a makeshift system, ensuring their communication remained undetected by Chaeryeong's sisters.
