Chapter Thirteen : Partners In Crime

Chaeryeong continued to listen to Taehyun's conversation with Beomgyu. She couldn't make out the details of their conversation, but she could sense the seriousness in their voices.

She glanced at Taehyun, her curiousity growing with each passing moment. "So you're saying you want me to get the schedule and sneak someone in? In your own company?" Beomgyu tells them in a slight sarcastic tone.

She tensed up, her mind racing with worry, as she waited for Taehyun's response. Taehyun sighed. "Yes, that's exactly what we're asking. We need someone on the inside to get the schedule and access to the security CCTV footage."

"Plus you know everyone there are loyal to Yeonjun hyung.... but you." She watched as Taehyun continued, his voice filled with a mixture of determination and a hint of bitterness.

Beomgyu let out a sigh on the other end of the line. "You're really asking for a lot, you know that, right?"

"I'm begging you! I promise I'll give you a bonus when I get back there!" Taehyun pleaded.

Beomgyu chuckled nervously. "You're really desperate, huh? Fine, I'll help you out. But I want double the bonus."

"Deal!" Chaeryeong's ears perked up at Taehyun's response. They had struck a deal with Beomgyu, and it seemed like they were one step closer to getting the information they needed.

Ryujin's phone buzzed as she was added to the group chat. As soon as she pressed the group chat, a call was started. Ryujin quickly picked up the call, her curiosity piqued.

The screen showed Taehyun and Chaeryeong together, their expectant expressions indicating they had initiated the call. Ryujin smiled and greeted them. "Hello, what's up?"

Ryujin raised her eyebrows at the mention of the guy. A hint of disbelief tinged her voice as she replied, "Oh boy, this ought to be good. Who is it?"

Ryujin widened her eyes in surprise as Beomgyu appeared on the call. She hadn't expected to see her ex again, especially in this context. "Beomgyu? You've got to be kidding me."

"This won't work..." The skepticism in Beomgyu's voice was evident.

It caused Ryujin to furrow her brow in frustration. "Why not?"

"I can't work with that bossy bi-" Ryujin's annoyance grew as she listened to Beomgyu's words. She shot back a sharp insult, her voice tinged with irritation. "Oh, cut the crap, you pompous jerk."

"Can you both stop?!" The sharpness in their exchange lessened as Taehyun's interruption brought everyone back to the main topic.

They shared a moment of silence before Chaeryeong spoke up. "Let's focus on the task at hand."

Ryujin took a deep breath, her initial irritation subsiding as she refocused on the mission. Taehyun's suggestion was a reminder that they needed to work together. "Right, sorry. So, what's our plan?"

"Tomorrow Beomgyu will start looking for the schedule. Ryujin you need to be in the club to hack into the cctv." Ryujin's mind immediately started to consider the technical aspects of the task.

She turned her attention to Taehyun and asked, "Taehyun, can you provide me with any information about the club's security system and network setup? I'll need some details to figure out the best approach for hacking into their CCTV."
