"Transcending Fate: A Shou's Journey in Medieval Love"
In a twist of fate, a beautiful boy is transmigrated into a BL otome game set in medieval Europe. He finds himself in the role of the Marquise's son, a minor villain destined to die at the hands...
Alaric, accompanied by Fibi, knocked on Prince Lucian’s door. The prince’s attendant opened the door and quickly stepped outside, closing it behind Alaric, leaving him alone with Lucian.
The room was even more lavish than Alaric’s own, with large windows that let in the afternoon light, a glittering chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and an enormous, ornately decorated bed. Lucian sat on the edge of the bed, his presence commanding and serene.
Alaric walked forward and greeted the prince. “Good morning, Your Highness.”
Lucian smiled warmly. “Alaric, I asked you to just call me Lucian when we are alone.”
“Lu… Lucian,” Alaric stammered, the informality feeling strange on his tongue.
Lucian’s smirk held a hint of playfulness. “Come, sit here.”
Alaric hesitantly sat beside Lucian on the bed. “Sorry, Alaric . I couldn’t say a proper good night to you last night, and I came back late, so I didn’t want to disturb you.”
“It’s okay, and thank you for reassuring me last night at dinner. I hope I didn’t embarrass you.”replied Alaric.
Alaric’s cheeks reddened, and he looked down, feeling like a sad kitten needing comfort. Lucian, feeling an inexplicable urge to comfort him, gently patted and rubbed Alaric’s head, enjoying the soft texture of his hair.
“It’s okay, Alaric,” Lucian said. “You don’t need to belittle yourself. With me here, no one can say anything to you.”
Alaric’s heart raced, and a deeper blush spread across his face. No one had ever reassured him like this before. In his past life, people either pitied him or laughed at him behind his back. He bit his lip and said softly, “Thank you, Lucian.”
Lucian’s heart also quickened. He wanted to hug Alaric and tell him everything would be alright. The room was thick with an ambiguous tension, and Lucian coughed to break the spell.
“Yes, I asked you to come here because I’m confused about what to wear to the party,” Lucian said, gesturing to several elegant outfits laid out on a nearby table.
Alaric looked at the options, each one beautifully designed and perfectly suited for Lucian. Imagining Lucian in each outfit, he finally selected a black suit with a white cape and gold detailing. “I think this one will look best on you.”

Lucian nodded in agreement. “Good choice. And what about you? What are you wearing?”
Alaric smiled playfully. “Oh, I’ve already selected my outfit. It’s a surprise.”
Lucian chuckled. “A surprise, huh? I can’t wait to see it.”
A knock sounded at the door, breaking the spell , Lucian’s attendant entered, handing him a letter. Alaric took this as his cue to leave. “I’ll see you at the party,” he said, bowing slightly.
