( #People are confused ok so no dissing,it may looks similar to previous chapter but hey....)
The sun had barely risen when Alaric met with his friends Luke and Mark, who had come to visit him in the afternoon. The two of them greeted him warmly, eager to hear about his recent journey.
Luke, with his ever-curious nature, asked, "So, Alaric, how was your trip? How are things over there?"
Alaric smiled, though his thoughts were elsewhere. "It was challenging but rewarding. We managed to control the disease, and the rain was a blessing for the drought. The situation is stabilizing now."
Mark, leaning back in his chair, added, "That’s good to hear. I’ve been following the updates and was worried. It must have been quite intense."
As they continued chatting about the conditions and arrangements, Alaric seemed lost in thought. He fidgeted with his teacup, his mind swirling with the complexities of his feelings.
Noticing his hesitation, Luke finally asked, "Alaric, you seem troubled. Is there something on your mind? Just ask."
Taking a deep breath, Alaric finally spoke, his voice hesitant. "I... I kissed someone."
Luke and Mark's eyes widened in surprise. Mark, always the more direct one, asked, "Someone other than Duke Cederic and..?"
Alaric nodded slowly. "Yes, I’m confused. I’ve come to like them all, but I’m not sure about the relationship. There are so many thoughts racing through my mind. Will I choose them all? Will they like me? Or... am I even ready to start a relationship and their title is it suitable for them ?"
Luke's expression softened as he listened. "Honey, it's okay to feel this way. As for whom to choose, that's entirely your choice. If they care for you, they'll respect your decision. Let them talk among themselves after you've decided what you want."
Mark added, "Exactly. Do you like them for who they are, ignoring what others think or their titles?"
Alaric thought for a moment and nodded. "Yes, I do."
Luke continued, "Then the problem is solved. You should tell them how you feel and let them decide how they want to proceed. Have you told them about each other?"
Alaric shook his head. "No, not yet."
"Then start there," Luke advised. "Communicate your feelings and see how they respond. If they agree, you can introduce them to each other and figure out how your relationships will work."
Mark nodded in agreement. "Yes, communication is key. Listen to your heart and follow it."
After a heavy conversation, Alaric felt a weight lift off his shoulders. He thanked his friends, feeling a renewed sense of clarity.
As Luke and Mark departed, they filled Alaric in on the latest news from the capital during his absence. Alaric listened intently, absorbing the information with a sense of relief and readiness.
With his friends gone, Alaric took a moment to reflect in the garden. The serenity of the surroundings helped calm his mind, and a servant soon arrived with a letter 💌 from Prince Lucian. Alaric read:
My Dearest Alaric ❤
I hope this letter finds you well and in good spirits. I have been reflecting on our recent conversations and the time we spent together, and I find myself wishing we could catch up properly. There is much we need to discuss, and I would greatly value the chance to speak with you in person.
If your schedule permits, I would be honored if you could join me for a cup of tea at the palace. It has been far too long since we had a chance to converse without the pressures of official duties and the weight of our responsibilities. I would appreciate the opportunity to hear about your recent experiences and I feel we have a lot to talk..
Please let me know a time that suits you, and I will make the necessary arrangements. I look forward to our meeting and to hearing all about your journey.
Yours sincerely
Prince Lucian
Alaric folded the letter, feeling a mixture of anticipation and apprehension. He was grateful for the advice from his friends and ready to address the complexities of his feelings. With renewed purpose, he prepared himself for the upcoming meeting and the conversations that lay ahead.
