(After Julian birthday party)

In the dimly lit interior of the carriage, Duke Cedric leaned back against the cushioned seat, his thoughts clouded and his body still tingling from the aftereffects of the drug.

The rhythmic clatter of the wheels on the cobblestone road did little to soothe his unease. His mind kept drifting back to one particular moment, a memory that both thrilled and troubled him: the kiss he shared with Alaric.

Cedric hadn't planned on it, hadn't even thought of crossing that line—at least not consciously. But that night, everything had felt different.

The effects of the drug had heightened his senses, making every touch, every glance more intense, more charged with unspoken desires. When their lips met, it had been as if the world outside ceased to exist, leaving only the two of them suspended in a moment of raw, unfiltered emotion.

He could still feel the warmth of Alaric’s lips against his, the softness that had surprised him, and the way his heart had pounded in his chest. Cedric wasn’t a man who easily lost control, but with Alaric, something within him had shifted.

There was a vulnerability in the young man that drew him in, a fragility that Cedric found himself wanting to protect, even if it meant breaking his own carefully maintained composure.

His breath grew heavier as he replayed the moment over and over, each recollection more vivid than the last.

His hand, almost of its own accord, slid down his torso, tracing the muscles beneath his shirt before moving lower. Cedric's fingers hesitated for only a moment before they began to relieve the tension that had been building since the kiss.

The carriage swayed with the rhythm of the road, matching the movements of his hand as he gave in to the overwhelming sensations. Every stroke was accompanied by the ghostly memory of Alaric's lips, the softness of his touch, and the heat of their closeness, pushing Cedric further into the haze of his own desire. He climaxed.

As the carriage moved steadily through the dark streets, Cedric frowned, running a hand through his tousled hair. He wasn’t used to feeling so conflicted.

His life had always been about duty, about making the right decisions for the sake of the family, the estate, the kingdom. But with Alaric, those lines blurred. The kiss had been a mistake, he knew that. But it was a mistake he couldn’t bring himself to regret.

What did Alaric think of it? Of him? The thought gnawed at Cedric, a rare sense of doubt creeping into his mind. Alaric was different, unlike anyone he had ever met—gentle yet strong, vulnerable yet resilient. His eyes and his soul as if calling to him.
He seems as they have talked many times, they knew and understand each other. Seeing Alaric sad crunches his heart and his smile lights up everything.

That kiss had meant something, something more than just the heat of the moment. But could it ever be more? Could Cedric, with all his responsibilities and the weight of his title, allow himself to pursue this feeling?

The carriage hit a bump, jolting Cedric from his thoughts. He sighed deeply, closing his eyes as he tried to make sense of the turmoil within him

The drug was wearing off, leaving him feeling more himself, but also more uncertain. How could he face Alaric after this? How could he look into those clear, honest eyes without revealing everything he felt?(He liked him or maybe lov... ")

Yet, as the carriage rolled on, Cedric knew one thing for certain: he couldn’t simply ignore what had happened.

He would have to confront it, confront Alaric, and find out where they stood. The kiss might have been a mistake, but it was also a revelation—a glimpse into something deeper, something that scared and excited him in equal measure.

The Duke opened his eyes, the familiar cool resolve settling back over him. Whatever happened next, he would face it head-on. He owed Alaric that much. And perhaps, just perhaps, he owed it to himself as well.
