3rd Person
It takes a few days but Mizumi makes a full recovery, and everything goes back to normal again. She finds out that her mom was sent to a mental hospital, rather than back to the Commission. She seriously debates a visit, but ultimately decides against it. Just in case. One morning a couple of weeks after the attack, she wakes up after having a terrible nightmare. She is used to having nightmares, but this one felt...different. She is distracted throughout the day as she tries to figure out what the dream may have meant.
"You've been lost in thought all day. What's up?" Kamimari says at lunch.
Mizumi shakes herself out of her thoughts. "I had this weird dream last night, and I can't stop thinking about it."
"What was it about?"
Mizumi freezes. The dream was traumatizing, and she's not sure if she should talk about it.
"Don't worry about it. It probably didn't mean anything. You know how dreams are..."
He shrugs it off and doesn't ask any more questions, knowing she will talk about it when she's ready.

When they get back to the dorms after classes for the day, an official from the Commission is waiting for her. "Miss Mizumi?"
"Yeah, that's me. What can I do for you, sir?"
"I'm just here to drop this off. I'm sorry you had to find out this way." He hands her an envelope, then walks away.
"Huh? Okay, that was kind of weird. What's this?" Mizumi opens the envelope as she steps inside. Inside the envelope are two letters. The first one she reads is an official paper from the mental hospital, informing her that her mother has passed away. The other paper is her mother's suicide note which is exactly like the one she had read in her dream the night before. Her eyes go wide as she reads through the papers.
"What is it?" Kaminari says from behind her. She turns around and hands him the papers without saying anything. She keeps her head down and her hair falls in front of her face as her eyes fill with tears.
"Oh, Mizumi. I'm so sorry..." Kaminari says after a quiet moment.
The others watch in confusion and concern as Kaminari hugs his friend, rubbing her back. She falls into his arms, sobbing into his chest as they sink to the floor together. She buries her face into his chest, letting out the wail of a child who has just been officially abandoned by her only parent.
"Her mother is gone," Kaminari explains to the others. "She purposely overdosed on her medication, and she was found dead this morning."
Their eyes go wide as they rush to comfort their classmate. A few of them surround Mizumi, trying to comfort her, but she pushes them away. She clings to Kaminari, sobbing uncontrollably as he holds her.
Kaminari looks around for Shinso, then remembers he had something to do after classes and couldn't walk home with her. He knows his best friend needs her boyfriend, but since Shinso isn't here, it's his turn to take care of Mizumi. She obviously wants him to, since she pushed everyone else away and he is the one she's clinging to. He helps her to her feet, then picks her up and carries her to her room so she can cry somewhere more privately.
Just as Shinso did a couple weeks ago, Kaminari stays with her as she cries on his shoulder. She explains that she had seen her mother's note in her dream, and the one currently in her hand is word-for-word of it. In her dream, she had gone to visit her mother in the mental hospital and was the one to find the body.
"It wasn't a coincidence, it was a prophecy. I knew there was something different about that nightmare...I feel so stupid for not realizing it sooner. I could have stopped her. This is all my fault..."
Mizumi whimpers to her friend.
Kaminari tenderly strokes her hair as he comforts her. "No, it's not your fault. This kind of thing hasn't happened before, right? There's no way you could have known it was a prophecy."
Mizumi cries herself out until she falls asleep, still holding onto Kaminari. He tries to get up, but she doesn't let go of him. Even in her sleep, she clings to him. He sighs but smiles a little as he settles into the bed with her, wrapping his arms around her. It feels weird to be in a girl's bed, especially with his best friend who has a boyfriend. But he understands that she needs him, so he stays with her overnight. He hopes Shinso will understand why this had to happen.

For the next few days, Mizumi doesn't act like her usual happy self. The light in her eyes is gone and she has stopped smiling. She skips a lot of meals, but when she does eat, it's not much. She goes to classes and keeps up on her schoolwork, but doesn't talk unless she has to. After getting home from classes, she goes straight to her room and sleeps, choosing to hide in her room instead of hanging out with her friends. At night, she walks aimlessly around campus, barefoot and in a daze.
She pushes Shinso away over text, making up excuses for why she's too busy to see him. Kaminari had filled him in on what had happened and Shinso is respectful of his girlfriend, choosing to let her grieve in peace. Surprisingly, Shinso wasn't jealous or upset at Kaminari for sleeping in Mizumi's room. He's actually grateful to his friend for being there for her when he couldn't.
After about a week of this depressive episode, Kaminari tells Shinso what's been going on and that he needs to come to the rescue. Shinso enters the dorm building and goes straight up to Mizumi's room. He has to brainwash her so she will eat something, then he holds her and comforts her until she falls asleep. The next morning, he is still there when she wakes up. She starts feeling a little better over time, and her friends are happy to notice her behavior changing for the better.

Training while still grieving results in a new ultimate move, called Wrath of Poseidon. She channels all her strength and emotions into a powerful attack, so deadly to herself that she decides not to use it unless she has to. It drains all of her energy and immediately makes her so dehydrated that she can't move until she drinks water again.
