3rd Person
"Do you really not remember who you are?" Recovery Girl asks.
After realizing their girlfriend has amnesia, Shinso and Kaminari had brought her straight home to the school and into Recovery Girl's office, hoping the school nurse could somehow fix her.
"Of course I remember who I am. My name is Siren Mizumi."
"That's not what I meant, dear. What is the last thing you remember before you woke up?"
Mizumi is quiet for a moment while she thinks. "Uhm, I was with my mom...wait, where IS my mother? How did we get separated?"
Shinso and Kaminari share a worried look with the school nurse. "Maybe I should let your friends here help you regain your memory. Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything my Quirk can do to help you." Recovery Girl says before turning to the boys. "The two of you seem to know her better than anyone else. So it's up to you to help her remember who she is. Good luck." And with that, she sends them on their way."Where are you taking me?" Mizumi asks as the boys lead her through the cemetery.
"I'm sorry, little Spark. You need to see this." Kaminari says sadly as they stop in front of one of the most recent graves. He and Shinso hold onto Mizumi tightly as they let her process the names on the tombstones in front of her. She recognizes the one for her father, knowing she's been here before. Many times. But the more recent one next to it has her mother's name on it.
Mizumi gasps and takes a step back. "What? How? I could have sworn I just saw her like yesterday..." The boys hug her tightly as the tears start to flow from her eyes.
"I'm sorry, Kitty," Shinso says as he and Kaminari tell her everything she had gone through not even a full year ago. The reunion that didn't go very smoothly, her near death experience at the hands of her mother, the "prophecy" dream she had, and the deep depression she had fallen into when she had read the suicide note. They hold her as she cries into their arms, letting them comfort her all over again. When she finally calms down, they take her back to her father's shrine at the aquarium. She smiles a little as she pays her respects, but doesn't cry over it like she had done the first time she was here.
Mizumi was excused from school, but Aizawa keeps a collection of schoolwork for her while she recovers from her latest trauma.
Nothing seems to work just yet, but the boyfriends keep trying, recreating their first dates, first kisses, and most memorable moments they have shared together. They make her rewatch all of the home movies her father had made and talk to her about the false realization that she had about her family being perfect before she was born and how they would have been better off if she had never existed.
One of their attempts at helping her remember who she really is involves putting her in littlespace and introducing her to age regression again. They give her the little speech that she had given them when she had told them about it, explaining what it is and how they had seen her coping mechanism help her. She seems uninterested, but they keep trying to help her, even getting the others involved in their attempt to help her.
She spends time with Eri as the child attempts to help her remember herself as well. Shinso and Kaminari spend the next few days after their daily classes taking her all over the place, showing her things from her recent past and telling her stories as they try to help her remember everything. The training grounds she had been to so many times, the very specific spot on the beach where Shinso had protected her on their first date, the nice restaurant Kaminari had taken her to when he took her out for the first time, even to Hawks so he could help her remember being his student and adopted daughter."You realize I have a brother who is older than you?" Mizumi asks Hawks upon meeting him again and learning he had adopted her.
"Yeah, so?"
"You know what that makes you?"
"No, what?"
"The middle kid. Welcome to being a Mizumi. It's not as much fun as it looks."
Mizumi seems to relax a little as Hawks laughs. She spends more time with him, slowly growing more comfortable in the presence of a pro hero. They get to know each other all over again, with Hawks happy to take a short break from his hero work to spend time with his daughter, who he almost never sees outside of work.
The more time he spends with with his kid, the fonder Hawks grows of her. He smiles to himself as he sends her home after spending the day together, remembering a conversation he had with her about potentially having a family someday, despite her original apprehension. He fully supports the idea of her being polyamorous with two other heroes, and is working even harder to create a world where heroes have too much free time on their hands. He wants to see his kid happy, and looks forward to seeing her start a family with them.As the trio returns home for the night, Shinso gets one last idea on how to help Mizumi remember who she is. He pulls Kaminari aside to fill him in, and they come to an agreement.
"Hey, little Spark. I have one more thing I want to do with you before we go to bed tonight." Kaminari says as he approaches his girlfriend.
"Hm?" Mizumi looks up at him with curiosity.
"I need you to come outside with me for a minute, I don't want the others to get in the way..." Kaminari leads her outside with Shinso watching over them to make sure their final attempt doesn't get too out of control.
"Okay, just stand there for a second. I promise I wouldn't normally hurt you, but I'll try to make it quick."
Before Mizumi can react, Kaminari sends a powerful wave of electricity through her. He hates having to use his power on the people he cares about the most, but this is for her own good.
