As the car drops me off and I step out, I look up at the building that is to become my new school. So this is the infamous UA High? I can barely see the building through this giant wall that stands in my way. I've heard of the UA Barrier. It was specifically designed to keep out anyone without a student ID or a special pass. And unfortunately, I don't have one of those just yet.
An older, skeleton-looking man with long blond hair waits just outside the barrier to greet me.
"Young Mizumi. Welcome to UA. I am All Might and I'll be escorting you to the office. Please follow me," he says as he hands me a special pass that will allow me inside the wall.
All Might? This is the former Number One hero? He looks so deflated and fragile. Is he serious? No way this is him...
He notices my skeptical face and smiles reassuringly. "I know, I don't look like I used to. But I promise I wouldn't lie to you. I have been retired from hero work for some time now, so I am just a teacher here. A lot has happened in the last year since you were captured," he explains as we walk inside. He guides me to the princial's office and smiles at me again as he opens the door.
"You're going to be just fine. Principal Nezu is very nice, so you have nothing to be afraid of."
Afraid? What makes him think I'm afraid of anything? Oh yeah. My hands are shaking and my knees feel ready to buckle under me. So maybe I am a little nervous. And why shouldn't I be? I am a villain in a school full of heroes. Of course I don't feel comfortable at the moment.
No. I can't think like that anymore. Remember what they told you at the Commission, Siren. You don't have to be a villain anymore. You're going to be a hero. That's what you're here for.
I take a deep breath as I walk into the middle of the room. A white rodent-like man sits in a chair much too big for him, at a desk that is also too big for someone his size. I choke back a giggle as he smiles and welcomes me.
"Siren Mizumi! It's very nice to finally meet you. My name is Nezu and I am the principal of this fine establishment. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. Don't hesitate to come see me if you need anything."
He hands me a map of the school and sends me on my way to classroom 2A.

Great...they left me to my own devices to find this classroom. Did they really think it was a good idea to let me loose in their school unsupervised? I suppose there is a lot of security in this building. And they're probably watching me struggle to find my classroom on the security cameras as I roam the halls alone, barely paying attention to my surroundings as I glance at the doors.
"Class 2A...ugh come on, where is it? I'm going to be late to-oof!" My thinking out loud is cut off when I run into what I assume is a wall and I fall backwards, landing on my butt.
But wait, did I just hear someone grunt?
I look up in horror, absolutely mortified that I ran into someone. Nice going, Siren. Your first day in the school and you're already hurting people.
"Hey, are you okay?" I hear the tall boy ask in a sinfully deep voice. He turns around and I see his face. Messy waves of lavender hair standing almost straight up on his head, and dark circles under hypnotizing eyes that match the purple shade of his hair.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I'm fine but did I hurt you?" I ask in a panic.
He flashes me an amused smirk as he holds his hand out for me. "I'm fine, but you need to be more careful before you run someone over," he chuckles softly.
I take his hand and he pulls me to my feet with one gentle tug. His hand is warm and has a rough texture to it. I can feel how strong he is from that one quick motion. I could get lost in those hypnotically beautiful eyes and I'm overcome with an urge to stay within his reach forever. This boy is drop dead gorgeous. I know I'm staring and he can see the blush on my face.
I clear my throat as I dust myself off. "Yeah, my bad. Sorry...I have to go now. Hey, wait. I'm kind of lost. Can you tell me where classroom 2A is?"
He silently points to the room next door. There it is. Finally. My hero classroom.
I breathe a sigh of relief. "Thanks. See you around!"
He nods and smirks again as he shoves his hands into his pockets and walks into the classroom next to the one I'm going to, labeled 2B and it hits me that I didn't get his name. Oh, well. Maybe I will actually see him around later.
I take a deep breath and then carefully slide open the door to my new classroom, peeking inside at the teacher to alert him to my arrival.
