3) Mount Sagiri

Tanjiro had sat on top of the chest of the demon, a rock in hand. Why wasn't it attacking him? Because he was to busy making it go through hell and back. He used his axe to pin one arm down and a pocket knife for the other.

He was currently using a medium sized stone to bash its skull into oblivion. He stared at the bloodied mess in the darkness. The only visible part of Tanjiro's face were the whites of his eyes, the rest was covered in a shadow.

The demon struggled to get up without being able to see. When Tanjiro noticed he tried regenerating his neck a bit, he started hitting it with the stone. At this point he was doing it for no reason, because the demon found it harder to even regenerate. He didn't have the energy, and Tanjiro was just wasting his.

He was about to go in for another hit when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He jolted and ripped his eyes away from the demon. He was met with a red Tengu mask. "You're wasting your energy. It can't regenerate anymore, let the sunlight finish it off."

Tanjiro stared up at him, then back down at the demon, before nodding. He dropped the stone on the torso and grabbed his axe and knife. He kept looking back at the demon, with a slight scowl.

The rays of the sun started to illuminate his face, and the body. It began to disintegrate with violent thrashing and silent screams of pain. "My name is Sakonji Urokodaki. I'll be your trainer from now on."

Tanjiro turned his head towards the man, nodding. The man let out a small hum before turning to run. Tanjiro chased after him.

'This boy is heavily injured, he won't last very long...'

The two ran for a while, Tanjiro slowing down a few times, before catching up with the older man. He surprised the trainer, honestly. He'd have to treat those wounds before actually training him though. He wasn't even going as fast anymore, he didn't want to lose the kid. He looked like he was ready to pass out.

"Stop for a minute." He instructed, turning around to look at Tanjiro, who had stopped in his tracks. He walked over and picked his legs up and gave him a piggy back ride. Tanjiro let out a soft hum and just stayed quiet. This reminded him of what his father used to do for him.

"Do you want me to carry you too? There's no shame in being tired, Tanjiro." The man smiled softly at him and picked him up in his other arm. Nezuko sat asleep in his left.

".... Okay." He snuggled into his fathers shoulder.

(Urokodaki is the perfect father figure other than Tanjuro and you can't and won't prove me wrong PERIOD)

He looked up at the dreary sky. It was cloudy, but a few rays of sunlight managed to break through. Tanjiro felt droplets of rain hit his medium length hair. They dripped down onto his face, wiping some of the fresher blood off.

His skin felt sticky and dirty, and he wanted more than anything to get the blood off of it. But right now he had to wait out the ride. It was honestly a bit soothing to him. He didn't even know this guy, and he was already comfortable around him. He needed to get it together, this man could kill him.

He felt Urokodaki pick up the pace, basically sprinting. He'd be out of breath by now if he wasn't being carried, no normal human could run this fast for that long without extensive training. And while carrying a teenage boy?

This man had to be crazy. Tanjiro couldn't find any other explanation to it. Then again, he wasn't any better. He hardly wrapped up his wounds and he did a shit job at it to, he could still feel it rubbing harshly against his skin. It might have been making him bleed more.

"We're almost there, so we can wrap up your head soon." Tanjiro had looked around him. They were heading into a forest, well a mountain. Mount Sagiri. Tanjiro stared in awe at the forest. Tall trees towering over them, like a cloud, blocking almost all sunlight from view. It was almost dark out.

Tanjiro squirmed in his grip a bit, wanting to be put down. Urokodaki released the grip he had on him, letting him down. Tanjiro looked at him for a few moments. "If you what to walk you can, but I'm not slowing my pace. I'll leave you behind if you can't keep up."

This guy is weird, he picked me up no problem and started sprinting. Now he's saying he'll leave me behind if I'm to slow. I only asked to be put down because I was uncomfortable with the grip he had on my legs. His nails felt like they could have been curing through my skin.

Nonetheless I nodded and started to run after him. The brush is getting thinner, like we're reaching a clearing or something.

He started to run on a set path again and I quickened my pace. Now that I was sure I couldn't injure myself more by falling on rocks and tree roots. He started slowing down soon enough, almost coming to a complete stop at a house.

He waited for me to catch up a bit. He opened the door fully, and I peered inside. "I'll wrap up your head and back before I train you. I can't have you bleeding to death." I stared at him for a couple seconds. I won't bleed to death, I've lasted this long. I should be fine like this. A little training should be—

"Ugh—" he gripped his head in pain as Urokodaki only tapped it. "Injured. It needs to be treated. And most likely disinfected." He could smell the doubt, so he was just proving his point. Tanjiro glared at him for a moment, before giving in and walking inside.

I want some of the scenes in this story to be perfect for Gnaw by Alex G and then in the middle of the chapter it's perfect for Custer or literally any other song by Slipknot—
