41) DakiThe moment those sweet girls shut the door, Zenitsu smiled, maybe it wasn't so bad here. Well surprise surprise bitch, get wrapped in a kimono belt motha fucka.
"Zenitsu isn't coming." The man was crouched down on the shingles of the rooftop, keeping his eyes on the district below him. The two boys stared at him.
"What do you mean?" Inosuke asked, Tanjiro didn't seem to care much. He still doesn't like Zenitsu, don't let the other chapters fool you.
"As of last night Zenitsu has been declared missing." Yeah Tanjiro still didn't care. "You guys should get out of here while you still can. I was selfish and now you three could be in danger." He stood up, getting ready to dismiss the two.
"If you leave now they'll think you're dead. I'll continue investigating on my own."
"We can't just leave!" Inosuke piped up. Surprising for him to be the responsible one. "Leave Yoshiwara." Those were his last instructions before he left the two sitting alone on the rooftop.
"What's his deal?!" Inosuke kicked the shingles below his foot, a frustrated groan slipping past his lips. Tanjiro just listened to him complain.
"It makes sense, considering how low we are in the ranks. We may not be the weakest, but we wouldn't be strong enough to take on the demon here." Inosuke tipped his head to the side.
"Still! We're not weaklings! Besides, I've already seen the demon! It looks like this!" He made a weird motion with his hands, completely indecipherable. "Mhm." He hummed.
"I'm serious! Like this!" He made another gesture with his hands. Tanjiro just stood up and jumped back down onto the engawa. Stretching, he walked back into the Tokito house.
Skipping to night cuz I'm bored as hell and you probably are too.
"Hmm? Oh, Sumiko. Why are you dressed like that?" The oiran acknowledged him through the mirror. He looked up at her.
"I'm sorry, Miss Koinatsu (can't spell)," he bowed to her. "I'll be taking my leave now. I had to disguise myself as a woman for this mission." She smiled at him. "Well, I'll be departing tonight as well." She smiled at him.
"Sumiko, could you come here." She pat the spot in front her, and he slowly tread over. He looked at her with a bit of confusion.
"Over the week I've noticed something about you, whether it's that you're shy or something else, you don't speak or show any emotion really. Your face always has a plain expression." Rude but true.
She pulled him into a hug. "You're a sweet g— boy. Don't be afraid to speak your mind." She pat his back gently, as a mother would when comforting her child.
Her felt tears prick the corners of his eyes, she took his face in her hands and wiped them away with her thumbs. "I've always wanted to be a mother one day, I suppose this would be as close as I could get."
She smiled at him with sympathy. "Rescue Suma for me. For tonight is my last night here." She asked of him. A strong presence made itself known behind them.
"Well if tonight is your last night here then I'll have to gobble you up before it ends." A woman whose waist was wrapped in living obi's stood tall behind them.
Tanjiro snapped his head in her direction, gripping the hilt of his katana. She licked her upper lip at the sight of the drop dead gorgeous oiran. Not gonna lie, same girl.
"Get out of the way, brat." The fabric shot towards Koinatsu, getting cut before they could reach her. He pointed his katana at her, a smile growing on her face. She, however, looked slightly irritated.
"Didn't I tell you to leave?" She took a step forward. "Scram!" She used an obi belt to fling him at the wall, breaking through it. He was sent flying into a rooftop.
Stunned, he forced his eyes back open.

Fuck, I can't move! I definitely broke one of my ribs, I swear I heard it snap. Am I dying?
No, the force was only enough to stun me and break something. She's stalling so she can kill Koinatsu. I have to get back over there.
I stood up and stumbled, before jumping back over to the woman's balcony. I jumped onto the flimsy railing and looked into the room. Koinatsu was nearly engulfed fully by the obi belt. I could only see the neck and above.
But how? I don't see or smell any blood. The belt seems to have a kimono pattern— no, it's absorbing her for later. "Still alive are you? Wow." The demon woman turned her head towards me.
"You look rather repulsive and weak. I'm surprised you survived that." It wasn't anything to take to heart.. "When you say that you insult your own abilities more than mine."
She was angry. "What the hell did you just say!? You coming out alive was just dumb luck!" Sure it was.
"If you're gonna eat me, do it now. Your voice is annoying and pitchy." She grit her teeth. I could see those pearly white fangs poking through.
"I would never eat someone as ugly as you. That scar is hideous. I hate eating ugly people, they taste disgusting." Her face was scrunched up with a repulsed expression.
"Actually," she corrected herself. "It's not just your face... those eyes of yours are absolutely hideous. But I can't help but be envious of them. Why is that? Do you wanna tell me?"
She was right. She was jealous. But I'm sort of glad, I guess. People normally hate my eyes. Few people have given compliments on them.
"I guess such a rare sight of nature would be so sought after. Dark like obsidian, but the way they shine with right lighting is truly magnificent. I might have to gouge them out and gobble them up!"
