16) Wisteria House

When the four finally arrived to the house, they were greeted by a short, elderly woman. She has smiled up at the boys, moving aside so they could enter.

"A change of clothes, a room to rest, and food will be available for your stay. We will send a doctor to check up on you." She explained. Tanjiro had smacked Zenitsu on the back of the head for screaming about how she was a monster.

"Zenitsu, wisteria houses have this prepared for demon slayers to rest and get treated when they aren't available to healthcare." Seiko tried to explain. Zenitsu looked over at him. "So she expected us to arrive?! Are you serious! A monster! A monster!"

Tanjiro just stared at him from a futon, waiting for his crow to get back, or the doctor to arrive. One or the other. He sent his crow to get Nezuko's ribbon, which he had left behind.

They heard a knock at the door, which was soon after opened by the old woman, a seemingly middle aged man behind her. "Hello, I'll be checking up on you four." Seiko smiled at him. Tanjiro arched his back like a cat would, as if trying to make himself look invisible.

"Oh my! All four of you seem to have broken ribs, and two of you are broken leg!" He concluded, opening his bag up. "But you're all more...." He looked over towards Tanjiro. "Or less healthy, so you should heal up in no time!" The boy took slight offense to that. Was it because of his sleep schedule? He hadn't eaten in a few days, maybe because of that.

He pulled out medical tape and other supplies I will never know the name of that I'm too lazy to research.

He wrapped the four of them up, leaving them to converse upon themselves. Zenitsu could hear the faint talking of him and the elderly woman from down at hall. Their words were muffled and he could hardly make them out, if not at all.

He did hear one thing that caught his attention though. 'Slightly malnourished, definitely an insomniac.' Oh, and 'Could you see about the possum under the engawa?'

Honestly the second one was way more interesting.

"Hey, Tanjiro! How about we get something to eat? You must be hungry." Seiko plopped down next to Tanjiro on the engawa facing the yard. The boy shrugged, standing up with Seiko.

"You tired?" He asked, looked at Tanjiro as they walked to the door. Tanjiro shook his head, the bags under his eyes saying the opposite. "You looked tired." He laughed a bit after, but Tanjiro stared at him for a moment, looking intently at his face.

"You.... You can't say the same.... When your under eyes are just as dark." He whispered, catching Seiko's ear. "Heh, I guess you're right." He smiled and opened the door, pulling Tanjiro inside. "We were gone for 10 minutes!"

The two arrived to quite the scene. As in Inosuke putting Zenitsu in a headlock. Tanjiro and Seiko put in vast amounts of effort to get him off. "What the hell happened?!" Seiko yelled with strain.

"Monitsu told me to shut up and calm down! And I'm showing him what calm looks like!"

"We've been telling you to shut it all day! What's so special about now?!" He said, finally getting Inosuke off the poor boy. Zenitsu took a deep breath of air, scooting away from the two.

"Rah!" You'll never guess it, but Tanjiro was sitting on Inosuke to stop his from getting up. It was actually working pretty well. "Inosuke, he won't get up until you calm down." The only rational person explained, looking down at the boy who was thrashing around, trying to get Tanjiro off of him.

He had almost succeeded numerous times, however Tanjiro shifted his position to keep him down, and yes I know this sounds like they're having sex, but the joke is really on you because they're both minors and I can't write smut at all!

Tanjiro looked down at the boar boy, who had somewhat calmed down. He stood up, and stepped over him, moving to the other side of the room as to not get knocked down when the boy jumped up.

"Rah!" He jumped up quickly, grabbing a pillow from one of the futons, throwing it at Tanjiro's face. The boy dodged as it flew past him and hit the wall with a rather loud thud. How hard did he throw it?

"Inosuke! Are you trying to kill him?!" Seiko yelled, throwing the pillow back. Tanjiro just stood peacefully in the center of the room, Zenitsu standing near the door.

He yelped when it was suddenly opened, and the kind woman peeked her head in. "It's the monster!" Zenitsu yelled, clinging to Tanjiro's arm. "There's food ready if you boys are hungry." She looked at the situation before hand. Seiko smiled. "Thank you, ma'am. We'll be out shortly."

"Ah! Thank you!" Zenitsu suddenly said. Tanjiro just bowed his head. She smiled, closing the door again. Zenitsu released of breath of relief, shoulders dropping. "Can you both stop arguing so we can eat. Continue whatever this is later." He greater at the two, provoking Inosuke. But the thought of getting some food sounded tempting, so he stayed remotely calm.

"Then let's go, Monitsu!" He grabbed Zenitsu by the collar of the purple yukata, dragging him to a dining room of sorts. "Wahh! Tanjiro! Help me!" Tanjiro deadpanned. Had this idiot really convinced himself that Tanjiro protected him in that house? Whatever, it's not like it's true. The Blondie can be competent himself.

Tanjiro audibly groaned and cracked his back, clearly uncomfortable. "You okay?" His friend asked, only getting a nod in return. In all honesty he wasn't. His head was hurting a bit and it felt like he was just hit by a metal bat. In other words he was sore and had a headache. The noise Zenitsu and Inosuke made wasn't really helping it.

He was exhausted to, so much he felt ready to pass out. But at the same time he had go much energy for that. "Hmm, do you want me to carry you?" Seiko asked.

Tanjiro blinked, absolutely dumbfounded. Wouldn't he be too heavy for that? "I'll take your silence as a yes." He said, before picking Tanjiro's legs up and running after the loud boys. The very, VERY loud boys.
