11) The fate worse than deathTanjiro had not been paying attention to a word she said. Something along the lines of 'Muzan's blood' and 'To be human again.' He had no clue what they were talking about.
"Isn't it rude that your friend isn't even speaking. He shouldn't just ignore the lady like that." Yushiro spoke up. Seiko sweatdropped and looked to the side.
"He's not really much of a talker, but I don't feel he needs to be part of the conversation if he doesn't want to. Forgive us if we offended you by it." Seiko apologized. This didn't seem to be enough for Yushiro.
He had stood up and took a few steps forward, smacking Tanjiro's head. (Omg how is his hand not broken?!) Tamayo looked at him, her jaw slack. "Yushiro! Don't hit them!" She yelled. He stood up straight, retreating back to his seat next to Tamayo.
"I'm terribly sorry for his behavior." She bowed her head close to the ground. Seiko waved his hands in an opposing fashion. "No, it's quite alright! Please lift your head." (Daki 👁️👄👁️?) Tamayo was about to lift her head up, when a Temari ball crashed through the room.
Tanjiro pulled Seiko down, ducking in the process. Yushiro rushed to cover Tamayo with his arms. Tanjiro smelled blood after a few seconds, looking over a to see half of Tamayo'd head gone, and Yushiro with his arm disconnected.
Tanjiro heard giggling outside. He forced himself to stand up and pulled out his katana, cutting through Temari that shot at them. The continued to move through the room, but the impact they had didn't do much damage.
He looked up to see a demon standing there confidently, holding the Temari in her hands. She grinned at them, snickering. "Yahaba, make em faster." She said, before throwing the balls again. (GIRL WHAT—)
Tanjiro struggled to cut through them because of the force and pressure. He felt a half of one hit his head, followed by the feeling on hot blood running down his face. He inhaled deeply through his nose, looking over to Seiko.
"Theres— there's two." He nodded and rushed out of the house, leaving Tanjiro with the demon girl. "Come on! Let's have some fun!" She shot the Temari balls at him, which he either cut through or dodged.
Every time he took a step closer, he went further back. He grit his teeth. "You're blood smells sweet, but you're no Marechi. Its a shame, at least you can feel the honor of being taken down by a member of the twelve kizuki!" She was grinning widely.
Had had remembered someone talking about them. Urokodaki, maybe. The twelve kizuki are the demons with the highest concentration of Kibutsuji's blood. The strongest demons. He gripped his sword tighter.
If she was even telling the truth, then he had to kill her. He rushed forward, ducking under Temari, as many of them possible in half. The rest flew past him, hitting anything in the way.
He was honestly thankful for Sabito's flexibility training right now, because he would have broken his arm with the way he was twisting it.
He blocked a Temari with his sword, letting the blade take its impact. If slid past the metal and he swore he felt and heard something crack. His ribs. He grunted and jumped up, narrowly avoiding a blow to his head that would have been fatal.
"You're fast huh, have much ammunition can you dodge?" She threw off the top of her kimono, allowing herself to grow two more arms. He wanted to call it quits now, but he just stood his ground, sword pointed straight and steady. (Unlike me)
She giggled as she threw the Temari as fast as she could. He twisted his torso in VERY uncomfortable positions to dodge. "Agh—!" A Temari flew narrowly past his torso, twisting around in mid air to come back to hit him. It went for the ankles like the ankle biting gremlin it is.
He stared at her for a few extra moments, his sword clashing with a ball. He dashed forward, bringing his sword close to her neck. When his foot hit the ground he was flung towards the house, crashing through the already broken wall.
He landed on a table and brought it down with him, his head pounding. He waited a few seconds for his vision to refocus, moving his hand to help him up. He smeared blood off of his face with the other.
He stumbled out of the house, blood dripping down his lower neck and onto his back and uniform. He groaned and picked his sword up, determined to kill her at this point. She grinned even wider at him, c.Ai reference by the way.
His expression remained calm as a he took a step forward, before dashing towards her. For some reason, everything felt so slow.
He blinked and all of a sudden he could see through her. Literally. The movement of her muscles became clear, and his sword met her neck in an instant.
Sun breathing, sixth form, Raging Sun.
A horrific scream ripped through the air as her head flew off. "It— it burns!" Tanjiro had never thought he'd see a demon struggling to breath before. He couldn't deny he was taking take deep breaths, but he wasn't the one who got decapitated just now.
Tanjiro fell to his knees, his adrenaline rush was gone. He watched Tamayo walk over to the disintegrating body of the demon, pulling out a knife. "She wasn't a member of the twelve Kizuki. They have a number engraved in their eyes to mark their ranking. She was fooled by the promise of a rank."
Tanjiro nodded, taking a few deep breaths before finally standing up. He looked around a bit, but did not spot Yushiro.
"I really don't like getting thrown around like a ragdoll!" Seiko yelled. "It's not any better over here!" The white haired demon yelled back, tripping on an arrow and getting throw into a wall.
Seiko used a wind breathing technique to land safely. He looked over at the demon, then to the arrows he sent out. The seal on Seiko's forehead was distracting but he needed it to fight.
"We need a plan of atta— shit!" He misplaced his step and his foot hit an arrow, which launched him at a tree.
