20) Again I'm to Lazy to Keep Making Chapter Names So I Shall Dub This Toaster Strudel

At least Tanjiro wasn't sick?

Well, that's what Seiko and Zenitsu told themselves when they witnessed Tanjiro fling Inosuke at the wall with ease. What did he do, you may ask?

Well, after Zenitsu left the room a few hours ago, to get a doctor or that lady, Tanjiro went back to sleep. Inosuke being Inosuke, decided not to give him the satisfaction of peace and quiet while resting. The boar leaned down to pull at his hair again, and as Tanjiro had enough of it, he flung the boy at the wall.

"Rah! Fight me!" He instantly stood back up, cackling like a maniac. Tanjiro glared at him, as if telepathically sending death threats or something. "Okay.... Um, maybe it's time to calm down now?" Seiko, surprisingly, was seating behind Zenitsu. If anyone would die to the tired boy's wrath, it would be him. "Yeah— what he said!" Zenitsu agreed, trying to pull his friend in front of him with his sleeve.

Tanjiro looked at them and nodded. Inosuke groaned. "I said fi—"
"Inosuke, why don't you show me how hard you can punch outside? Where there's a wall made of concrete. Alone." Seiko said, grabbing the boy by his arm.

"Hahah! Yes!" The boy cheered, not knowing the amount of trouble he was currently in. "So... uh— do you wanna get some food?" Zenitsu asked, knowing they wouldn't have to deal with Inosuke for a while. Tanjiro shrugged. "So no?"

His question was yet again met with a shrug. "So yes? I need some affirmation." Tanjiro just left the room at these words. "Oh— so yes." Zenitsu followed after, slowly closing the door behind him.

The boys healed after a week at most, because of Wattpad and anime logic. Trust me on this one.

"Caw!" Seiko held Inosuke back as he squirmed in his arms, the crow hiding behind Zenitsu. Tanjiro sat several feet away from the scene. "Mission on Mount Natagumo! Demon Slayers are attacking each other!" It flew onto the engawa, waiting for them to get their weapons and uniforms. "Give us a minute, we'll be ready." Zenitsu answered for them.

"Hey! Let me go!" Inosuke was slapping Seiko with the back of his hand, leaving a red mark on his face. "Will you quit it already?!" He yelled, throwing the boar boy to the ground. "Ugh— we have a mission you bone head!" He groaned, watching the boar jump up. He had way to much energy.

"A mission means more demons to fight! Which will ultimately make me stronger!" At least he was right about that, but there was also a chance he could get hurt. "Hey! Wait a minute!"

The two boys chased after him, leaving Tanjiro and the crow alone. The two just sat in silence, Tanjiro standing up to get his uniform. "Are there any messages you'd like to relay?" He asked the red head, who just shook his head. He slipped his pants on under the yukata, so the crow wouldn't see him basically half naked. (Idk what I'm doing)

"Giyuu Tomioka would like to check in on you!" It announced. Tanjiro turned his attention to the black bird, tilting his head a bit. "I— uh...." The crow waited for an answer, Tanjiro just standing there awkwardly.

"Um.... I guess I— I'm, I'm fine." He muttered. The crow had a look of confusion somehow, because it's Wattpad.

"I cannot hear you." It flew onto his shoulder. "I'm fine...." He answered again, waiting for the bird to get off of his shoulder. It let out an affirming noise, before flying back outside.

Skipping to when they leave because imma lazy ass and this chapter should have come a lot sooner but we're doing Mount Natagumo to late in the story so it's gonna be a long one 😫

The old woman lit sparks for the four. "I wish you good luck on your travels!" She yelled as they walked away, mainly because of Inosuke.

"What was all that about?" He asked, stretching his arms high above his head. "The sparks will keep us safe." (I have no fucking idea please don't correct me on this—)

"Why would you need that when you have me?" He asked, putting his arms down. "I'm pretty sure we're in the same department when it comes to strength." The other two boys said, deadpanning.

"Oh really? Then prove it!" Zenitsu looked over to Tanjiro, who stayed quiet this entire time. "Tanjiro, what do you think? He's not stronger than all of us, right? I mean you saved me back at that house."

Tanjiro looked at him like he was stupid. He saved himself from that demon. If anything Tanjiro wouldn't have protected him.

"Right?" He asked again. Tanjiro just nodded. "See!"

"What does that prove?!" The boar yelled. "Well isn't he the one that knocked you out with a headbutt?!" Zenitsu pointed to Tanjiro, who was distracted by something in the trees.

"Well I was caught off guard!" He countered.

"If you guys keep arguing me and Tanjiro will be going ahead without you." Seiko said, only to be ignored by the yelling boys. He sighed, grabbing Tanjiro's hand. The two walked ahead of them, before saying fuck it all and running.

The four boys look at the mountain before them, the moon barely allowing light into the canopy of trees. "Help!"

Zenitsu's eyes landed on a basic bitch— I mean a demon slayer who laid on his stomach, trying to crawl away from the mountain. "I got away, but the strings are—" before he could finish speaking he was flung into the air, screaming for help.

"What the—?!" Inosuke yelled, looking at where the slayer used to be. "Is this what we're dealing with?" Seiko asked, slightly horrified. Blood had flown into the air when he got pulled away. Fresh wounds littered him.

"Hey guys... I think you should just go without me...." They turned their attention to Zenitsu, who sat on the ground hugging his knees. "Why?" Seiko asked, looking down at the yellow haired boy.

"I.... I'm scared alright!"
"Shocker."
"SHUT UP! You would be to if you were in my place! I might be the only normal person compared to you and Inosuke!"

"What the hell is that supposed to mean, Monitsu?!" Zenitsu deadpanned. "It's truly fascinating how you can't figure that out yourself."

"Since you didn't include Gampachiro is fascarting or whatever you said!"
"Inosuke, let's try using proper grammar when we finish this mission. Anyways, what were you saying Zenitsu?"

"Well, to Inosuke, Tanjiro at least seems somewhat normal from the both of you! He's just not very social!"

☆彡

Mhm.... Normal. Should I tell Zenitsu how he's scared in public but he's calm in intensely violent moments? No, Tanjiro looked a bit offended when he said he wasn't social. (How? Mf doesn't even have facial expressions 💀)

"But.... I'm so useless for this. I'll just slow you guys down." He finally said. We stared at him. "He's not wrong." Inosuke said, almost in a bored voice. I looked at him, dumbfounded. "Don't say that! He's not useless!"

I was honestly about to get into a full argument with the nasty ass boar. "Wah— hey, Tanjiro!" I looked behind me and saw Tanjiro had yanked Zenitsu off the ground. He let go of his hand. "Alright! Let's go!" Inosuke yelled, running off.

"Hey! Wait up!" Zenitsu yelled.

☆彡

"Zenitsu.... You'd— you would still be a great help... that's... not useless." He muttered. I looked at Seiko, who probably didn't hear him say it. "Thank you, Tanjiro." I smiled at him softly, which he returned with a nod.

"Hmm? What did you say? Ahh— never mind let's just catch up with Inosuke!"
