7) Final SelectionIf there's anything I've learned from Sabito, is that he's insane. Figuratively and literally. He laughed like a psychopath every time he kicked my ass, and the training exercises were inhumane.
Flexibility is one example of that. Sabito had made me do the splits. No flexibility training beforehand. Forced straight into it.
That was a very... interesting experience. But the one I'm in right now, is a bit different. Maybe he hit me too hard or something, but my vision is fuzzy around the corners and I can't see him. Everything is moving so slow as well.
I can't feel my body moving like I have no control over it. My chest hurts...

What Tanjiro failed to realize was that he was rushing forward and landing a hit on Sabito, that would have knocked a normal person out. Tanjiro stopped moving for a second, while Sabito slowly stood up. Tanjiro looked to be in a dazed state as he got in a fighting stance.
His expression was to calm, and Sabito was honestly shocked by how fast this kid was hitting him. He choked on his breath (my guy you don't breathe what—) as his eyes widened.
"Breathe Tanjiro!" Sabito hit his hand against Tanjiro's neck and knocked him out. He looked down at the boy, taking a steps back, tumbling down. His breathing was rabid (MY GUY YOU DONT BREATHE) and he gripped his haori to try and slow it down.
He just got his ass beat, and Tanjiro was literally suffocating himself to do so. Even if he wasn't doing it intentionally, it was pretty dangerous. So what happened?
Better question, how was Sabito going to carry him back to Sakonji's home? He wouldn't risk getting spotted if he decided to go outside, which was way to often.
Could he use Makomo as a distraction? Just as a precaution, he could. But he had no fucking clue where she was so he'd have to do a hit and run.
As in put Tanjiro to bed and vanish without a trace. Which he actually completed, surprisingly. Because the author wants to hurry this along, since I want to move this shit to final selection like right now.
Sabito dropped the teen on the floor with a thud and vanished before Urokodaki came to summon his inner inspector gadget. Tanjiro sat up and rubbed his head, groaning. The first thing he smelled was Urokodaki, because this is his house.
The first thing he heard was Urokodaki bursting through the door and leaning down to make sure Tanjiro was okay. The first thing Tanjiro saw was the wall when he woke up. Did you think I was going to say Urokodaki?
"Are you okay?"
After Tanjiro had been double checked for injury, Urokodaki made him eat. He thought Tanjiro had fallen due to fatigue or something, because the boy did not explain what happened.
"Should I get a doctor to check up on you? Just in case?" Tanjiro shook his head. He didn't really need one, his eyesight was acting up a bit. And he was going delusional in his dreams.
A man who looked suspiciously like his father talking about something called the transparent world. The only difference was hair length, clothing, and body structure. He looked to be a lot healthier, and his hair was a lot longer. Not to mention this birthmark on the man's forehead.
