"Ah, Miss!" She walked over smiling, "Did your presentation go well? There's celebratory pudding or just a bucket of pudding to eat our feelings if things didn't go so well."

That, at the very least, brought the ghost of a smile to her face. "A bucket of pudding sounds delightful."

Janice's eyes twinkled with amusement as she handed her a letter, "This might cheer you up too. It's from that childhood friend of yours."

She did smile at the news. Hearing from him was like the first breath of spring after winter. The air was cold, but life filtered in through the breeze. Fauns were born, afternoon showers made the daffodils rise the next morning, and each day there was a new promise of life. Hearing from him filled her with life. Filled her with emotions long forgotten.

"Did he? It's been a few years." She murmured, but also knew it was her fault for dropping out of contact.

When her dad learned that they'd been communicating even after their betrothal was broken, he'd broken the first bone of many. It was now why Janice flittered her gaze around the empty room timidly as she placed the letter into the pocket of her lab coat. Questions gnawed at her mind, but in a good way. She didn't feel immobilizing anxiety, but rather she was curious.

What did Ominis Gaunt have to say to her after all these years?

And why was one letter from him, able to cure the numbness inside her after having her hopes and dream crushed by a egocentric wizard?

Magizoology Tip #3

If it looks like a dinosaur, roars like a dinosaur, and chases students... It's probably a dinosaur.

Sebastian Sallow was a simple man.

He liked reading on one of the public benches in Hogsmeade where plum blossoms overlooked the valley.

He liked it when the weather was cloudy and the sun didn't get in his eyes.

He liked it when the House Elves made traditional Scottish sweets because it reminded him of when his Ma would spend Sunday mornings in the kitchen baking with Anne.

He liked it when the students were obedient and calm. Right now, they were not calm.

"Run!"

"What is that?!"

"It has TEETH!"

"Most things have teeth, dumb arse!"

"Okay, but REALLY sharp teeth!"

Sebastian told his students to stay put as he walked out of the Dark Arts classroom. He'd gotten to the staircase when the most absurd looking creature ran past, chasing a few Hufflepuffs while some of the Gryffindors were aiming spells at it. In classic fashion, his snakelets were laughing and pointing. He'd make his House pay for that one later.

"Are you two responsible for this? What did you conjure?" Sebastian demanded, taking two steps at a time.

The two purebloods paled, seeing their House head marching towards them.

"Professor Sallow," The young Malfoy grimaced, "We didn't. It appeared by the shore and those Hufflepuffs tried to pet it."

Sebastian shook his head, "Stand here and stop students from coming down this corridor." Was the last thing he said before he ran off in the direction of screams.
