"Why do you look like you've just seen a Dementor?"

Sebastian swallowed, "Beatrice, do me a favor."

"What kind of favor?"

"The kind that walks towards me slowly." Beatrice stiffened, moving to turn around when Sebastian hastily said, "Don't. I don't think stalking kitties like it when their prey sees them first."

Oh.. The cat had made its reappearance.

"I'm starting to think you really would have made great bait. It appears everywhere you do." Beatrice said lightly, though her voice was anything, but. "Can't we Apparate?"

"Jinxes put in place won't allow you to. Hogwarts." Was his rough way of explaining now. She was only a couple meters from him now, "Good. It's still by the doorway. If you charge up the stairs, I can send a depulso its way-and we can hide in my office until the other two come back."

Beatrice swallowed nervously, "Taking another step. I hope your aim is better this time. And don't use Dark magic."

"Chastising me while there's a giant carnivorous cat in the room. You're almost as annoying as Ominis." Towards the end, his voice turned dark. His eyes searched hers, "Do you trust me?"

Did she trust him?

She barely knew him. But that didn't stop her from wanting to. There was a lot more to Sebastian than his shared past and trauma. She wanted to know more about him.

Beatrice nodded slowly, honestly imbued in her strong will. "I do."

An unreadable expression rose on his face and he tilted his head towards the stairs.

"Then run."

Magizoology Tip #12

It takes a cauldron to raise a chizpurfle. Or to at least catch a murderous kitty.

Run, should have been duck.

Beatrice saw the shadow of the creature flying through the air on the back wall and it was getting larger.

"No you fucking don't." Sebastian snarled and flicked his wand towards the desks. They rose from the ground, crashing against the creature. He slid across his desk, joining her side, and pushed her behind him. She turned against his back to see the creature trapped against an assortment of desks and chairs all held together.

Her heart was hammering, blood roaring through her ears, but not because of fear for their safety. She placed her left hand on his bicep, encouraging him to stand down from the attack. "Don't hurt him!"

Roars and hisses escaped the beast which was scared. Beatrice pulled out her wand and pointed it to the creature. A bright red light appeared at the tip of her wand before shooing out much like a comet would. That comet of red light exploded around the Sabertooth Wampus which became nothing more than a common orange house cat.

Dark magic didn't work, but transfiguration spells could.

At least she'd hoped.

Sebastian casted reparo to place all the desks back in their spot, "Did you know that would work?"
