"Sebastian, do you want to be friends again with Ominis?"

He didn't hesitate, but it was begrudging. "Yes."

"Ominis, would you be willing to forgive Sebastian if he properly apologizes for hurting you and disrespecting your friendship?"

Ominis did hesitate, but it wasn't begrudging. It was gentle and honest. "Yes."

Beatrice threw her hands up. "Well there we go. I'm going to go chuck a fish at Prewett's head while you both settle this once and for all. And if you're back to fighting by the time I walk back in, you'll both be sleeping with Prewett outside."

"It's two against one, we'd keep you out." Sebastian pointed out.

"Oh I much prefer her company." Ominis said with a smile.

She returned it with one of her own and a shake of her head, muttering 'idiots' before walking outside. It went without saying that she did not want to levitate a fish so Prewett could reluctantly eat it and not starve. It went without saying that she wanted to be part of the rest of the conversation.

But Ominis and Sebastian needed a few moments to reconcile and with her there, Sebastian would be embarrassed and act out. They weren't close enough to bare souls to each other. Not like she would do with Ominis if given the chance. Not yet.

Magizoology Tip #18

Vampyr Mosps are very attracted to certain flowers. Just like a certain two men are very attracted to each other.

When she walked back in, the guys were cleaning up from dinner and Sebastian moved away first to stoke the fire in the chimney.

He looked up as she walked in, "Did you make sure he choked on a fish bone?"

"And lose our only hope at getting back to the future?" She shook her head, "Sorry, your cooking isn't good enough to risk it."

Sebastian rolled his eyes, "Do not determine my caliber in the kitchen by lieu of prehistoric fish and a random edible plant you found."

"As much as I don't like to feed his ego," Ominis said with a yawn and rubbed his eyes, "He's quite good. I still crave that Cock-a-Leekie soup you made when Anne had the flu back in first year."

The other wizard's expression told her he was tempted to make a joke, but thought it low hanging fruit. "I'll make it when we get back. For both of you."

Ominis nodded and Beatrice smiled. Even if things didn't go back to the way it used to be between them, she could tell that they were headed in the right direction. Sebastian noticed her knowing smile and turned his head away from her... But not before she noticed his embarrassed little grin.

"Both of you go to sleep. I'll stay up to make sure Hobhouse doesn't get any stupid little ideas." Sebastian said, sitting in front of the fire.

"You need sleep too." Ominis pointed out, "You wasted a lot of energy catching fish."

"I pointed my wand at the water and speared fish." Sebastian drawled, "I'm not a Muggle. You wasted more energy having to create a shelter."

Beatrice headed towards the hammock Ominis had determined was hers, noticing it was closest to his and farther from Sebastians. A small observation that she found musing, yet not unwelcome. She could still hear his voice, cooing to her in that gravely tone of his to kiss him like she wanted to Ominis. Her cheeks flushed, thinking of how she'd momentarily imagined him raking his fingers through her hair and crashing his lips to hers against the post. Did that imply she wanted Ominis to do the same to her? She did care for him.
