Chapter Fifty-One

The rest of my birthday week flew by before my eyes, especially with how busy I felt.

Which for once wasn't with work.

I had Morana's dinner which she hosted at her house, Zane's lunch at a Thai restaurant, and Gia's brunch at an oceanfront restaurant.

Nadia of course chose dessert as her meal for me—so she had us at five different dessert places in one night to try.

She apparently looked them up on Google for the reviews which I found adorable.

And eventually, it all led up to Saturday.

Tazmin's day.

Which I had been anticipating—wondering what she had planned.

Especially since she can be over the top.

So when I was told to pack an overnight bag—and later arrived at the tarmac where the familiar private plane sat, I wasn't even slightly surprised.

Instead, I was curious—wondering what she could possibly have planned.

I mean, everyone is on the plane.

Even Tazmin's parents—who I was excited to see.

I wasn't quite sure if it was too early to invite them to my birthday plans?

But I'm happy they're here—they feel weirdly comforting to me.

"It's been over ten hours now," I told Tazmin, glancing out of the window at the cities below us.

We were finally about to land after such a long flight—one that we boarded after Gia's planned dinner on Friday night and now we were about to land after over ten hours of sleeping and eating.

And Nadia asking if we're there yet.

Luckily, the birthday plans I made for Sunday are a nighttime event, which doesn't start until ten so there shouldn't be an issue with making it back in time.

"Only a few more minutes," Tazmin told me as she remained seated beside me, glancing out of the window as we descended down toward wherever Tazmin had planned for us to go.

"You should give me one hint," I determined, carefully analyzing the city we were flying closer to.

It wasn't a modern city.

More historic with a lot of trees and grass.

Also bodies of water.

My best guess is that we're in Europe, but I don't know where.

"You can wait a few more minutes," Tazmin said, pressing a fleeting kiss to my cheek.

I let out a long sigh, "But it's already been hours," I pointed out.

Tazmin smiled slightly, "You're more impatient than Nads," she said, amusement growing on her features.
