Case File Name:
Our situation.♠Chapter Twenty♠
The next day blurred past me, attending my typical meetings and working on cases until the evening approached.
Along with my plans with Nadia.
And Tazmin.
Who both remained silent as we walked on the sidewalk, trying out boutiques instead of the mall like last time.
But there was clearly some weird tension in the air between all of us.
Especially since Nadia was still mad from yesterday, which was something I hoped she'd move past by now.
And then Tazmin... well she was naturally reserved unless you spoke to her.
Which I wasn't in the mood to do today.
Mostly, because of how she handled our last conversation.
It never had to be that big of a deal to leave.
"I like that one," I said as Nadia came out of the dressing room with the short gold dress on, which fell a little past her knees.
Tazmin hummed, "Me too," she said, sitting beside me in the chair.
Nadia shrugged, "I don't think I like gold anymore," she said almost insinuatingly, walking back into the dressing room.
Which made me purse my lips, glancing over to Tazmin who lazily raised her brows in acknowledgment—glancing down to her phone when it vibrated with a text.
I let out a bored sigh as I stared back forward, awaiting Nadia to exit her dressing room.
But even when she did, a noticeable silence still hung heavy between us.
It was so painfully obvious.
The tension, the standoffish feelings that both Nadia and I held towards Tazmin.
"I should leave," Tazmin was the first to offer as we approached the familiar ice cream place.
Nadia only shrugged, "You were already leaving anyways," she determined.
Which made Tazmin tilt her head, "I was?" she asked, noticeably confused for once.
I blinked a few times, "Yes—"
"Out of the country," Nadia cut me short, giving Tazmin a narrowed look, "Which you could've told me yesterday—I thought we were going to be friends."
Tazmin furrowed her brows, suddenly glancing over to me, which made me purse my lips—hoping she could somehow read my mind.
I probably should've filled her in beforehand.
"Why do you have to move after the new year?" Nadia asked, sounding less mad and more upset.
And just like that, I could see something click in Tazmin's head.

Romance"If you wanted me to fuck you, all you had to do was ask," Tazmin said, her raspy voice lowered as she drew one of her hands up the inside of my thigh. I clenched my jaw, "I didn't," I gritted, even if we both knew it was a full-faced lie. Especiall...
