The Cuddle Pact with Eddie Munson

Seniors for the next two weeks you are going to be sitting down with a counselor about graduation.

That sentence has been in Eddie's mind since the PA system on Monday morning. He never thought about his future. He thought leaving this small town but he never thought he would be in a relationship with Luci. He knows that she'll be going to college and be successful. He worries about after graduation.

"Luci Henderson you are needed in the office." Luci nods and gets up as does Robin to help her. Robin walks in front of her to get the door open, " See ya."
"Thanks Buck see ya."

Luci walks to office to be met with her counselor and her softball coach. She was super confused why her old softball coach was there. She hasn't played since her junior year.
"Coach Preston what are doing here?"
"Let's talk in the office."

Her counselor, coach, and Luci are seated , " No offense but I don't play anymore why are you here?"
Coach Preston chuckles, " None taken Luci remember your brother recorded the state game?"
Luci nods, " Well it took a year for the Indiana State to get back to us and they offered you a full ride there."
"Did you mentioned my leg to them?"she said motioning her leg.
"Of course , the director and the coach said that there's a spot for you."
"Oh my god."
"This is insane."
"This is true?"
"Yes, I have the letter here, he said grabbing from his windbreaker pocket.

"Well now we have the financial situation dealt with, Luci have you thought about what you want to do as a career?"
"I think I want to be a doctor."
"That's great! Following in the medical footsteps just like your mom."
"It's a lot of work in that field, lots of hours of reading, lab work."
Luci nods taking in what the counselor says about the course of study.

The bell rings, "Well I think that covers it, if you have any questions just ask me. And congratulations Luci."
"Thank you."  

As Luci walks out from the office, she's still in shock how she has a full scholarship ride to Indiana State.
I can't believe that just happened. That is insane. There were scouts there but they usually go for the seniors but I was a junior. This is insane!! 
Luci was walking to her locker, to drop off her books and walks to her next class. Eddie comes from behind her and gives her a peck on the cheek.
"Hey Clover, how was the meeting?"
"It was really good. I have good news but I'll tell you later."
"Okay."

Luci felt super giddy, she was happy about she didn't have worry about loans for college. At least for now. But now she's thinking about after graduation, she s going to IU and that's two and half hour drive from Hawkins and it's away from everyone.
Happy thoughts Luci.  They all sit and talk about random stuff until the bell rings  which signals next class begins. Luci and Robin walk to their next class until someone from the office says that its Robin is needed.
Robin walks to the academic counselor's office and is met with her counselor.
"Hi Robin."
"Hi, Ms. Cooke."
"I have your file here, and schools you've applied have are NYU, IU,UMASS and Berkeley correct?"
Robin nods excitedly, "They each gave me a phone call and said your applications were outstanding and can have for their orientations in July!"
"Wait, you're telling me all of them want me?"
"Yes! They saw all your volunteer work, AP classes, and extracurriculars and thought you would be the best student at their campus!"
Robin squeals as she jumps in her seat, "Oh my God! I can't believe this!"
"Congratulations Robin! I'm very proud."
"Thank you so much Ms. Cooke! I can't wait to tell Ana."
"She has good news too."
Robin waves goodbye as she walks back to her classroom. Robin is so excited for her next chapter. She hopes maybe her and Ana can go to same college. Ana looks at her and Robin gives a thumbs up and mouths "good news".
