    Luci still pondered about what happened with Eddie. She knew that his body language showed that he didn't want to talk and that he looked super tired. His face looked puffy, more pale skin and purple rings around his eyes appeared again.
But today they start tutoring. Which Luci seems excited for it. And so did Eddie. He hated being away from Luci, but the reason why he got distant was the anniversary of his parents' death. Which is why Wayne always tries to stay with him during the holidays especially the following day after Christmas Day. That's when his parents died from the tragic car accident.Elizabeth(mom) and Stephen (dad) went out to get out more milk like it was any old day. And it was until there was black ice on the road, Stephen swerved away from a deer in the middle of the road he lost control of the car causing it to flip over.
Eddie goes by their grave whether it was their birthday, the anniversary or he needed to talk to them. He mentions to them about Luci especially when she agreed to tutoring him. He thinks if his mom was alive, she would love Luci.

"Hey mom, hey dad," Eddie says sitting down on the grass.

"I met a girl."

"I know what your thinking about Mom, she's really nice and sweet."

"Her name is Luci Henderson."

"And yes, she's related to Dustin. It's his older sister.
They invited me to their Christmas dinner. It was something I'm not used to. I didn't have friends come over for holidays or grandparents. Listening to music,and having a fun time making Christmas dinner. "

"It's not that Uncle Wayne is doing a bad job, he's doing a fantastic job raising me. That's for sure. I just miss that and you guys so much. I wish you guys can meet the people who are in my life now. And Luci, she's the best person."

"You know she agreed to tutor me to help me graduate. Even though she has to graduate herself and she works. Her family is so nice and welcoming. "

"I got you some flowers Mom your favorite,Peonies."

"I love you guys, I gotta go to practice."

It was towards the last period of the day, Mrs.Vernon's class. The class droned on as usual but the time took it's sweet time for the bell to ring. Once the bell rang, everyone rushed to the exit doors, Eddie pulls Luci towards the lockers to talk to her. Some eyes lingered to their encounter, Robin especially looked. Robin went to Luci's Jeep and wait.

"When do you wanna start tutoring?"

"We can do it today at Benny's. At 4:30?"

Eddie agrees, "Yeah sounds good."

She gives him a smile, "Great, see ya then!"

Luci walks to her Jeep and Robin wiggles her eyebrows at her, "What happened? Did you talk about the kiss?"

Luci turns to her, "No. Ugh I think that was a mistake," she said groaning.

"I think you're a dingus for saying that."

"I mean we haven't talked about it since it happened," Luci shrugs as she drives away from the student parking lot.

"Nothing?"

"Not a word."

"But anything going on between you and Vikki?" Luci questioned hoping to change the subject.
