☀️California trip,part 2 ☀️

Today was a sunny warm day in California and Luci was excited for the day. Luci was more than happy for this warm weather, she finally wore her clothes she brought for warmer days in California. Since Georgia was out hanging out with her friends from Bingo Night, Luci and Dustin drove to the Byers home. As they arrived there, Nancy and Mike were already there too. They all watched TV for an hour or so until Nancy thought of an idea to do something.

"We should all go and do something."

Everyone agreed to what Nancy said, "But where?" Mike asked.

"There's a roller rink that just opened," Jane suggested.

"That sounds like fun," Luci agreed.

Everyone agreed to Jane's suggestion and they took two cars; Luci's and Jonathan's car. Luci followed Jonathan to the rink, they all got their sizes and was off on the rink. Mike had to use the walker to help him have balance as did Dustin. Jane couldn't help but laugh and help Mike how skate better, Luci skated to Dustin to help him.

"I can't believe you forgot Dust."

"The last time I skated when I was 9 years old."

Luci helps him and he gradually got the hang of it. Luci skates towards the middle of rink, she sees a guy her age checking her out and she rolls her eyes and loops her arm with Will's.

"There's a creep checking me out."

"Gross."

"Right. Ugh I hate boys."

"You don't hate me right?"Will turns his head to Luci.

"How could I? You're my favorite brother's friend."

"Good."

"What's going on with you? You seem sad," Luci said with concern.

"Oh it's nothing," Will said waving it off.

"You sure?"she questions.

"I'm sure."

"How's school?" Luci said to change the subject.

"School's school," he shrugs.

"Nothing interesting at all?"

"No, except my art class."

"How's that?"

"It's good, we had project where we had to draw a memory."

"Ooh what was yours?"Luci questions excitedly.

"Where you took us all trick and treating in the 6th grade."

"I have that picture in my car! I love that one," she smiles, remembering that night.

"Yeah, the art teacher wants to put in the art fair."

"That's great Will!"

"Thanks I haven't told anyone yet."

"You should, that's wonderful Will."

"Dustin told me there's a DND club at school?" he said changing the subject.

"Oh yeah! Eddie runs the club. When you come for the summer, Dustin will have you meet him."

"What's he like?"
