The door rang, I jumped up from my bed and ran to the entrance of my apartment.
Ellie was out with Teun so that meant I was alone and my afternoon was dull. I could technically just keep writing songs but I forced myself to stop for today to not make my hands bleed.

"Heyyyy", I dragged out as I stood at the side to let Joost come in and close the door.
"Hallooo", he matched my energy.
I hugged his waist, happy to be in his presence again. He put his arms around my shoulders, kissing my head in the meantime.
"What level of bored have you reached yet?", he asked with a sigh.
"Whatever level you consider watching your old youtube videos is...", I replied with a smirk. He hated me bringing it up, I on the other hand deeply enjoyed his reaction.
He threw his head back in disbelief: "Noooo Len, why would you do that?!"
"Because it's entertaining, you were funnier back then", I shrugged. He scoffed jokingly.
"I'm joking, of course."

"Lenny hey! Just wanted to ask if you'd be down to be in the music video for Friesenjung, maybe? We decided on next Friday to shoot it and everything", Aggu asked after I picked up his call.

Joost and I were currently watching Tangled since it was my favourite Disney movie and he said he had never watched it before, that should be a crime by the way. My head was on his shoulder while his arms rested around my waist keeping me in place.

"Sure it's my day off either way",
I replied with an excited voice. The song release would, if all goes well, give my career a kick back into the industry after my long release break. I still had gigs but the interviews had died down and so did the attention on my music, before Pinkpop happened.
"Niceee, I'll text you the details as soon as I know! Your dad's coming too by the way!", Aggu said and hung up.

"My dad will be in the music video?", I turned to Joost who was already looking at me.
"Yeah, when we were in the studio talking about ideas for the music video Aggu chimed in asking if he would like to be in it."
I laughed at Aggu's straightforwardness.
My dad meeting Joost without me there was a weird thought at first. I mean we aren't dating or anything but it still felt strange, knowing I did like him. But my dad immediately called me afterwards talking about how fun Joost is and that he likes him a lot which sent a wave of relief over me.

"Can I hear the new song? I can't wait until Friday", Joost whined.
"Nope, you'll have to wait like everyone else!"
"Pretty please, liefje", he gave me puppy dog eyes. I won't fall for this. Not the name I went absolutely bonkers over, and not the look.
"No, Joost", I stood my ground. It wasn't like I didn't want to show him but I feared he would figure out it's about him.
"Can you at least tell me what it's about?", he bugged eagerly. I shook my head: "You'll find out soon enough."
He groaned.

It was now 22:48.
Ellie and Teun still weren't back so they would probably stay at Teun's. Joost and I ordered on UberEats a few hours ago and were now enjoying Mamma Mia. This movie never gets old. I could watch it on repeat and never get tired of it. I'm also a huge ABBA fan so it's not surprising. Nonetheless, I my eyes got heavier.
A yawn left my mouth.
"Are you tired?", Joost asked in a low tone.
I only answered with a quiet "mmh" and adjusted my body on my bed. My head was now on his chest, one leg draped over him and my hand resting on his stomach. The position gave me butterflies in my stomach. He also moved to be more comfortable, one of his hands sitting on my back as the other played with my hair. There was an unspoken agreement that Joost would stay the night.

"Welterusten, liefje", he whispered in Dutch as he kissed my head.

"Sleep well, my love", I whispered back.

And with that I fell into a deep slumber.
