As the rest of the boys entered the room, you felt a wave of relief wash over you. Akira wouldn't be able to bother you anymore without getting caught by his friends.

Subaru's steps echoed through the hall as he sat down in front of you. You grabbed the corner of your turtleneck, feeling the fabric irritating your wound. Masking your pain, you looked ahead.

It was the first time you had seen Yukio since the fire at his house. He seemed pissed, a permanent frown settled on his face as he glared at Hikaru's hand squirming toward you.

"Treasure," Kazuto said, trying to hug you but being held back by the ironclad grip of the tsundere male.

"You will have to apologize for your behavior before we allow you to touch her," Subaru stated to the male, who was now down on the ground, drawing circles in aggravation.

"How do I do that?" he asked incredulously. "How do I apologize?"

Hikaru laughed at the gamer's obvious cluelessness, while Akira snickered, making your anger flare. Akira should be the first one to apologize, yet you couldn't bring up the topic.

"Kazuto," Subaru said firmly, bringing the room's attention back to the issue at hand. "You need to apologize sincerely. A real apology, not just words."

Kazuto looked around, clearly not able to apologize. "Fine," he muttered, standing up and looking at you directly. His tone was rather robotic. "I'm sorry for... what I did. I didn't mean to upset you."

Subaru sighed disapprovingly at the half assed apology but nodded. "Better. Now, Kazuto, you can give her a hug."

Kazuto beamed and stepped forward, enveloping you in a warm hug. You hugged him back, reluctantly but his hold did not bother you much at the moment.

Hikaru, never one to miss out on affection, pouted. "My turn, Dove!"

He bounced toward you, and despite everything, his genuine enthusiasm made you smile a little. Takumi stood shyly by, his eyes flickering between you and Akira.

Subaru's gaze fell on Akira, and the redhead's smirk faltered for a moment. "Akira," Subaru said in a warning tone, "anything you need to apologize for?"

Akira's eyes locked with yours, a challenge hidden in their depths. "No," he said smoothly. "I think everything's perfectly fine. Right doll.?"

He was taunting you. Knowing you would clearly not tell anyone. Your eyes burned as it met with the floor. He was right. You would not tell.

Subaru's eyes narrowed but he didn't push it further. Instead, he turned to you. "Y/N, if there's anything else you need to address, you can tell us."

You glanced at Akira, then shook your head. "No, nothing."

"Good," Subaru said, though he didn't look completely convinced. "Let's all take a moment to relax. We've had a long day."

The boys began to go back to their own rooms, with Subaru escorting you to yours. Since his room was the closest to yours, it was a short walk. Kyo was nestled in his arms, sleeping peacefully. It was surprising how much Kyo liked Subaru and not most of the others.

"So, how was today?" Subaru asked as he petted your ginger cat. "What did you do?"

"We baked and had a picnic," you croaked out, your eyes on your cat sleeping peacefully in his arms.

Subaru stopped just before reaching the door to your room, the very spot where Akira had stood a few hours ago. The memory made the pain flare up again. You clutched the sore spot tight, making Subaru confused.
