****Maya's P.O.V.****
After the movie, Bradley decided to take me to dinner. I argued that it was too much and that he had already spent too much money on me, but he was stubborn. I caved in, so we are on our way to In-N-Out right now, my all time favorite place to eat.
I was looking out the window when I felt something warm on top of my hand. I looked over to see Kaz's hand on top of mine, him focusing his eyes on the road. I smiled and entwined our fingers while leaning my head on the window, looking at all of the passing cars.
I heard the song 'Summer' by Calvin Harris and immediately started singing along in my horrible voice, Kaz just chuckling while I did so. He smiled before turning into the entrance of In-N-Out.
I smiled at him as he parked, and as soon as the car stopped, he let go of my hand before hopping out of his side and jogging to mine, opening my door for me. Closing my door and then his afterwards, we headed into the restaurant hand in hand.
As soon as we opened the doors, I was overwhelmed by the amazing smell of burgers and fries. We walked to the counter and Kaz started to tell the man his order. He was so cute.
Wait, what?
My thoughts were interrupted by Kaz waving a hand in front of my face, saying my name over and over. I blushed and told him I wanted a double baconator cheeseburger with extra bacon and a medium chocolate milkshake. He gave us our receipt after a lot of fighting about who got to pay, Bradley winning of course.
We sat down at a booth talking about random things, laughing at each other's jokes and embarrassing moments that we'd had. Time flew by, and before we knew it, our food was already here. We both dug in and finished about half an hour later.
"So.." Bradley started. "What do you want to talk about?" He asked.
"Well, we've been talking a lot about me, so why don't we talk about you? What do you like to talk about with your friends?" I asked him.
"Well, when I'm with my friends I usually talk about sports. Do you know anything about sports?" He asked me.
I shook my head no.
"No?" He asked me. "Any sports? Like what about basketball, you know anything about basketball?"
"Yeah," I replied in a not very sure voice.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Yeah."
"Yeah? Maybe?"
"Well, we're in New York, so obviously my favorite team are the Knicks and you know this may not be our best year but at the end of the day it doesn't matter because we have Nello and we have Phil Jackson and that's all that counts. We shouldn't have traded J.R. Smith and you know what at the end of the day it's not our best season. We have a terrible record, we're the worst in the NBA. I am at Madison Square Garden and I see all these fake fans just jumping onto bandwagons like the Heat or something like that and you know what that's not what a true fan is if you are going to be in the garden you better represent the Knicks," I said, getting a little worked up at the end.
"I don't know that much obviously," I said, looking down while he stared at me in amazement.
"I really like you Maya," Kaz breathed out with a straight face, making me laugh lightly.
"And I really like you too, Kaz," I told him while smiling.
He smiled back, and his eyes flickered from my eyes to my lips. He started leaning in and my heart rate quickened. He's going to kiss me! He's going to kiss me! YYYYYYYYAAAYY!! I started slowly leaning in also, after my brief moment of fangirling.
