Y/n POV

We soon left the others. I didn't want to leave Glenn but he said he was going to be alright. I have him a kiss goodbye before we went back to the inmates.

We sat down all the weapons we were willing to give them. Which was random crowbars, sticks and shovels. Not any guns, couldn't trust them. Axel picked up one of the weapons and scoffed.

"Why do I need this when I got this?" Axel said as he took out his gun.

"You don't fire guns, not unless your backs up against a wall. Noise attracts them. It really riles them up." Daryl told them. I saw some of their faces, most of them looked scared and I didn't blame them.

"We'll go in two by two. Daryl will run point with T. I'll bring up the rear with you" Rick said as he pointed his knife to Thomas. "Stay tight, hold formation, no matter how close the walkers get. Anyone breaks ranks, as could all go down. Anyone runs off, they could get mistaken for a Walker, end up with an axe to the head." Rick warned them.

"That's where you aim" Daryl told them. "These things only go down with a head shot."

"You ain't gotta tell us how to take out a man." Axel scoffed, this man was really starting to piss me off

"They ain't men. They're something else." T-Dog told them.

"Just Remember to go for the brain." Rick told them. Axel took one of the weapons and starting to walk away, the other ones followed after him. I was about to walk off before Rick grabbed my arm. "You stay with one of us. Daryl, T-Dog or me. I don't trust these people and I don't want you to get hurt" Rick told me. I nodded my head. Sometimes it made me feel like a little kid. If they trust me so much why do I have to constantly be watched?

I stayed close with Rick as we followed up the back. So far is was good and peaceful. I trusted Daryl and T-Dog in the front. Only a couple do the inmates I was worried about. Axel and Thomas. I knew the other ones were too scared to try anything.

"Man, it's too damn dark in here." I couldn't make out which inmate said that.

"Gotta hold ur up high out in front of you." I told them.

"You're gonna hear them before you see them" Daryl said as he continued to walk. We heard a walking sound, just like a Walker.

"It's coming!" Andrew shouted.

"Shh!" Rick said to him in a hushed voice. These people had a lot to fucking learn.

Daryl held up his hand and went in front of us. We all stopped and waited for the Que that Daryl would give us so we would know if it was safe or not. We saw a shadow of a Walker and the growling sound as it came closer. More started to appear. The inmates looked at eachother before they screamed and ran going after the walkers.

The rest of us stood there and watched. I was confused and a little concerned that, that was there fighting tactic.

"What the fuck?" I asked as I lowered my katanas in complete confusion.

Big Tiny, held a Walker back as Andrew started to cut open his insides. Which Oscar and Thomas all went after one Walker as they had metal poles and beat the walkers head in.

We continued to walk down the hall to be able to crake out the rest of the cell block.

"It's gotta be the brain. Not the stomach, not the heart, the brain" Daryl reminded them as he took a Walker out with an arrow.

"I hear you, the brain" Andrew said as he nodded along. There was another Walker and I figured another inmate would get it. Oscar went in and slammed it on the forward and it fell back down, he quickly ran back to us.

"Like that?" Oscar asked Daryl.

"Mhm" Daryl hummed in response as another Walker came through.

Andrew them took out the Walker with his pipe, then Rick stepped in front of took the Walker out with a knife.

"Stay in tight formation no more prison riot crap" Rick told them as he stepped back to join the rest of us.

More walkers started to pile in, and the inmates went after them killing them one by one and stepped back in line. I was all the way in the back with T-Dog as we watched them take care of the walkers.

I heard someone scream and then when I turned around Big Tiny was getting corned by walkers. I went over and took out one of the walkers that was on him before I heard Gunshots and Axel then shot the walkers down. I turned around and stared at him. I looked back and I saw Big Tiny was bit on his arm. I nodded, it was something I could fix. We just needed to cut off his arm.

"Can I look?" I asked him. He nodded his head and he turned around and he was scratched on his back.

"I'm telling you, I don't feel anything. It's just a scratch" Big Tiny said as he turned around and looked at me. It looked like he was sweaty really badly.

"I'm sorry, man" Rick mumbled out.

"I can keep fighting!" Big Tiny said.

"You cut that old guys leg off to save his life"Thomas said as he walked over to me.

"Look where the bite is" I told him softly as I pointed at Big Tinys shoulder.

"Guys, I'm fine!" Big Tiny said. "Just...I'm fine. Look at me...I'm not changing into one of those things." Big Tiny said as he pleaded to me.

"Look, there has to be something we can do"Oscar said to me, I felt weird that everyone was going to me. Like I had more pressure than I should have. "We can lock him up"

"Quarantine him" Andrew offered

"We gotta do something. Why are you just standing there?" Thomas asked as he pushed me. I watched as Daryl moved forward and pushed Thomas back.

"Man, why you taking it out on her?" Oscar asked as he stepped in front of me.

"We gotta save him" Thomas said from behind Daryl.

"There's nothing we can do" Rick said as he stepped in front of me and I saw T-Dog go by my side.

"You son of a bitch." Thomas said to Rick.

"I'm-" Big Tiny said before Axel hit him over the head with a crowbar. His blood splattered all over me. I wanted to scream. Axel continued to hit Big Tiny over the head even though he was already dead. I stayed there almost frozen. I liked Big Tiny he was one of the nicest people and he didn't deserve to die like that. Axel was covered in blood and blood was all over the wall. If you say the look in his eyes you would freak out as well.
