Y/n POV

Another council meeting. I honestly didn't know why I was apart of it to be completely honest. I was here for the ride. I liked being wanted for my opinion.

"Patrick was fine yesterday, and he died overnight. Two people died that quick? We'll have to separate everyone that's been exposed." Carol said as she placed her hands on the table.

"That's everyone in that cell block. That's all of us. Maybe more." Daryl said as he sat with his chair backwards.

"We know that this sickness can be lethal. We don't know how easily it spreads. Is anyone else showing symptoms that we know of?" Hershel asked as with his hands clasped together.

"Can't just wait and see. There's children. It isint  just the illness. If people die, they become a threat." I said as I rested my head on my hand.

"We need a place for them to go. They can't stay in D. We can't risk going in there to clean it up." Hershel said as he looked at us.

"We can use cell block A" Carol suggested.

"Death row?" Glenn asked, I got chills just hearing it. "I'm not sure that's much of an upgrade." Glenn said from beside of me.

"It's clean. That's an upgrade. Think that'll work for Dr. S?" Daryl asked Hershel.

"I'll help Caleb get it set up." Hershel said, before anyone else could say anything there was a woman coughing. We all jumped up out of our seats to go see what was happening.

"You sure? You done sound so good" Carol said as I followed Sasha out of the room. Tyreece and Karen were walking down the fall .

"We're just taking her back to my cell so she can rest." Tyreece said as he placed his arm around her.

"Tyreece I don't think that's a good idea." Hershel said calmly.

"Why? What's going on now?" Karen asked nervously.

"We think it's a flu or something" Glenn said as he watched Carol make him say it. "That's how Patrick died."

"Judith was in that Cell block. She's vulnerable. So is Y/n, now that is having a baby. Anyone that may be sick or even exposed should stay away." Hershel said as he walked closer. I hated being looked at as vulnerable.

"It killed Patrick?" Karen asked as she started to get worried.

"She's gonna be okay. Now that we know what Patrick died from we can treat it, right?" Tyreece asked Hershel.

"Don't panic. We're going to figure this out. But we should keep you separated in the meantime. We'll have Caleb take a look at you. I'll see what we have in the way of medications." Hershel told them softly doing his best to not freak them out.

"David from Decatur group, he's been coughing, too." Karen said as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"I'll get him" Glenn said as he let out a small sigh. "There's some empty clean cells in the tombs, right?" Glenn asked as he held on his hand looking at me.

"Yeah, well meet you there" I said to him before I looked back at the rest of the group.

"Okay" Glenn called before he disappeared down the hall.

"Come on" Sasha said as she walked closer to them. "Let's get you settled." Sasha said as Karen did her best to cover up her cough.

"Have to calm another meeting later." Hershel said as he looked at the rest of us.

"All right" Daryl said as he nodded his head. "I'll get to burying the dead ones"

"You wear gloves and a mask." Hershel told Daryl as he walked down the hall.

I went to follow after Hershel. This was all a big mess and I had no idea how we were going to get through all of this.

...

Later on Maggie dragged me down to where the fence was starting to give in. We each grabbed sticks as we started to kill the walkers through the fence.

"The house drew em out and now this parts starting to give."Maggie called out as the rest of them went down to help us.

We killed as many walkers as we could through the fence. The fence was rattling as crazy as they pushed on it. If we didn't see this before the fence would have fell down.

"Are you seeing this?" I called as I walked over and found a whole bunch of dead rats near the fence. "Is someone feeding these things?" I asked in disbelief.

"Heads up" Daryl said as the fence caved in even more. I turned my attention away from the rats back to the walkers.

"This part of the fence, now!" Rick said as they kept crawling on each other to fall through.

"Hold on, hold on. Hey, hey, hey." Glenn said as he kept going down.

"It's gonna give! It's gonna give!" Rick said as the rest of us went over to the fence to hold it up. It can't falling down even more to where walkers were getting crushed against it.

"Everybody back!" Daryl said as we moved away from the fence as we watched it slowly cave in.

"Fence keeps bringing in like that, those walkers are coming over it" Sasha said as she pointed out the obvious.

"Daryl get the truck. I know what to do" Rick said as he looked over to my brother. Daryl ran off to go grab the truck.

I watched as Rick and Daryl took out the truck with the dead boys on it. I continued to take out the walkers through the fence. The walkers then slowly turned away from us and went over to Rick.

(Guys I hate this part and I'm literally skipping over it, I can't. If I write it I will cry and I can't so we all basically know what's happened but let's pretend those bugs are immune and chased off the walkers into their own fairy land. I'm so sorry.)
