Minji ended up falling asleep after Y/n stopped mumbling. When she came to it, Y/n was gone. She looked around the room first then walked out to ask the girls...

"Where's Y/n?"

"Oh, they went out with Yunah to get ice cream," Haerin answered.

"Don't worry. We sent guards with them," Danielle assured her.

"Alright," Minji mumbled and walked over to her room.

The girls looked at each other a bit concerned, but they wrote it off to Minji just being tired.

- Hanni POV -

Minji hadn't gotten out of our for a while. So, I went to check up on her. When I entered the room, I couldn't find her.

"Did she leave?" I tried hard to remember if she had told any of us that she was going somewhere.

I was about to go out to ask the girls if they had seen her...

When I heard music playing from above me.

"Ahh," I thought to myself.

I walked out to the balcony and climbed up the ladder on the outside of the house to get to the roof.

When I got up on the roof, I found a broody Minji sipping on a beer.

"Broody, Minji? That's a first," I teased.

"I'm just keeping a look out to make sure they get back okay," Minji hugged her knees tightly.

"Okay," I let her believe what she wanted.

The night sky became darker and the stars started shining brighter as the neighbor's lights started to go off.

"Got an extra one?" I asked in the peaceful quiet night.

Minji handed over an extra beer without a word and we sat in silence. Waiting for Y/n to come home.

With all the silence and the vigilant surveillance Minji was doing, I almost believed that she was just being wary of Y/n's safety...

But the music that was playing on her phone gave her away.

"Friends don't say words that make friends feel like more than, Friends!"

Minji took a sip of her beer every time a song said something that made her even more broody.

"Now I'm over pretending. So, let's put the 'end' in Friends!"

She took another sip.

"Are you ever going to admit to yourself that maybe you see Y/n as something more than a responsibility?" I sighed, putting my beer down.

"I wish you'd stop making jokes like that," Minji chugged the rest of her beer.

"You know I'm not joking right?" I looked at her shocked that she hadn't picked up on her own behavior.

"Well, sorry to disappoint, but I don't see Y/n as nothing more than a responsibility. Not a member, not a friend, not a member of our family. Just a responsibility," Minji popped open another beer.

I rolled my eyes at her denial.

Maybe I was pushing it, but we could all tell the subtle shift in Minji's energy since the trip she took with Y/n to Toolbox's shop.

"Is that why you've been taking it upon yourself to take care of Y/n lately?" I took another sip of my beer.

"That... and Y/n took a knife for me... I could've been dead...," Minji got quiet for a bit.
