"SPEAK UP!!"
The Hooligans' head of K&R was beating the shit out of Miyawaky.
"I SAID SPEAK UP!!!" He continued to beat her.
Meanwhile, Y/n and The girls were celebrating that Y/n was assigned to be Hyein's extra assistant. It wasn't what everyone wanted but it was something that allowed the girls to keep a close eye on Y/n.
"So, I guess I'll have you run errands for now. Minji unnie and my assistant handle everything for the most part. You can just do the small things," Hyein told Y/n.
"Yay! Welcome to KKMLP!!" Dani cheered.
"Cheers!" Everyone said their glass.
- Y/N POV -
We were all stumbling out of the restaurant when I overheard Minji talking on the phone. "We need to know what she wants. We can't have the Yakuza infiltrating our business," she said.
I shook my head a bit confused.
"The K&R team just sent me an update," Hanni suddenly walked over to show Minji her phone.
I furrowed my brows in confusion. I had my suspicions but I didn't actually think The Hooligans would go through with it.
"Good," Minji lowly responded.
I walked over to see what was going on and immediately snatched Hanni's phone out of her hands.
I stared at the picture on her phone for a second before losing my shit.
"ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!" I screamed.
"She doesn't belong here. We're just trying to protect you. Protect the business!" Minji yelled.
"Y/n, she's an enemy. Don't be fooled just because she was nice to you," Haerin tried to get me to see their side.
I understood what they were trying to do, but they didn't know the whole story.
"I'm not!" I huffed out.
"Sakura-ssi is trying to leave this whole thing behind. She doesn't want to be part of this world. That's why she never filled up those ships her dad kept sending. She wanted my help and all I did was put her in harm's way!" I got so frustrated that I threw Hanni's burner phone against a wall.
"It's not that simple!" Hyein tried to calm me down.
"I know!! But you didn't have to send The Kidnap & Ransom team to beat her up! You could've just talked to her," I rubbed my face out of stress.
"Did you even think that maybe kidnapping her and torturing her might cause her to call her dad? That it could create a bigger problem?!" I screamed in Minji's face.
Minji gave the order. She was the one I was most angry with.
"Good point," Minji awkwardly cleared her throat.
Suddenly, Hanni whistled the driver over and we rushed over to The K&R warehouse.
- Miyawaki POV -
It was a bit of a surprise to find out that Y/n-ssi was associated with The Hooligans. I genuinely thought it was just an association with The KKMLP for college purposes...
But I guess I was kind of relieved to find out that we were more similar than I thought.
"I'm really sorry about that. It must still hurt a lot," Y/n apologized again as we walked out of school.
It had been a week since The Hooligans had beaten me, but Y/n still felt embarrassed by their friend's actions.
"It's okay. I'm just glad you got there when you did. I was strongly considering calling for backup," I exhaled deeply.
I was really getting ready to use my emergency alert but I'm glad I didn't. If I had called for backup then Dad would've forced me to go back home.
"I'm glad you didn't," Y/n took a deep breath.
"I'm just really impressed that those Hooligans were about to snatch me up in plain sight. In front of my guards at that," I chuckled with contempt.
"Yup, they're good at what they do!" Y/n teased.
"Yes, they are-"
"Don't move!" Y/n-ssi suddenly hid behind me.
"What's going on?" I froze, not knowing what to do.
There weren't many people around. So, I had no idea what Y/n was even hiding from.
All I could see was a few staff from The University and some girl with a beanie.
"Who's she?" I figured the girl was who Y/n was hiding from.
"My Ex," Y/n-ssi whispered.
"She looks familiar," I thought to myself.
"She's a Punk. Last time I saw her, well... let's just say we didn't break up on good terms...," Y/n kept using me as a shield.
"Punk?" I questioned.
"Yeah, a Punk!" Y/n finally let go of me when the girl went out of sight.
"Punk? Like those little delinquents who think they can run high operations like the rest of us?" I questioned.
"Yeah, they're The Hooligans' biggest rival," Y/n looked at me weirdly.
"Do you not know much about them?" Y/n-ssi asked.
I chuckled at their funny question.
"I do. It's just that my family doesn't consider them to be on the same level as The Hooligans. They're messy and their operations usually don't end up with much profit. They don't know how to handle business. They just to monopolize the industry," I explained.
Y/n raised an eyebrow at me but ultimately shrugged.
"Oh well, I don't care. So long as I'm not involved then I don't care," Y/n continued on to our destination.
