Ashton's P.O.V

I know I just met her in all but I am in love with her already. Yes, young kids like myself take love for granted, but she is my mate and I love her. Why is it though that she is all scratched up? It also seems as if she is not as happy as she looks. She seems happy, but I think she just convinced herself she was. Oh well, now we have each other and I will not screw this up, and I will make her truly happy.

I lay on the couch bed just staring at the ceiling. Everything was going through my mind right now: her, the pack, and becoming Alpha. My life is now perfect, and nothing can change that with her by my side. Then again she is not by my side right now.

I groan. This is a lot harder then I thought, being so close to her yet so far. I close my eyes taking in a breath.

I wonder what she is dreaming about? I know if I could fall asleep that I would dream about her, and nothing else. Weird but true, I have yet to be able to get her off my mind. I wonder when we are going to kiss?

"No," I heard a mumbled. Looking over to the bed I see Faith laying face up. She starts to scream. I jump from my bed. I try to get to her. When I lay my hand on she is burning up. I put my hands on her face.

"Faith wake up, it is time to wake up."

She was burning up, no more screaming just whimpering. Sweat droplets rolled down her face, what is going on. I run to the Doctor William's office. I find him sitting under a desk light working on files.

"Doctor William it is Faith something is going on."

He jumps from his seat and runs to the room. Once we get in the room Faith is still sweating but no screams only whimpering. William checks out her eyes.

Alice comes running through the door, "Yes, Will, what do you need."

He looks at her, "Get Jackie, someone is messing with her mind." Alice nods and exits the room hastily.

We watch over her and listen to her whimpering. I keep a constant contact with her hoping it will calm down. William goes to check her abdomen but I grab his hand growling at him.

"I am sorry Alpha but if I don't help her soon she may not wake up the same," he says sternly at me. Mentally I scoff as does Ace. She will never be the same no matter what you do, and Ace agrees with me. I let go of his hand only to walk to the other side and watch him. When he lifts the shirt off her we see writing.

'Hello Alpha, you mate is quite fun to play with when she is trapped within own mind with no escape.'

I look up to William. We focus back onto her stomach were a new message replaces the older one.

'Tell your mate, that not to worry we will do it again soon in real life.'

That message starts to fade. Losing my temper is not something I need to do, but I lost it. I started to punch the wall. When I was ready to punch a third hole in the hole an ear-pitching scream erupted. I turned to Doctor William and run to her side. A huge gash is cutting open her stomach. She stops screaming, and falls limp: Alive but very limp.

I close my eyes and take breath. When I look back to her abdomen only to find what was once overflowing with blood completely intact. I look to William. He looks to me. Alice and the pack Witch, Jackie, who bust through the door, interrupting us: Jackie promptly goes to Faith to examine her. I walk out of the room. Blake walks down the hallway, sees me, and sits down by me outside of her room.

"It is his tradition," Blake whispers to me.

"Who is he," I am losing my control.

"She must tell you, but he would do this to her to test her strength every night. Did she scream?" I nodded, "only at the beginning though and very end."

Blake's head drops, "When she screams it arouses him meaning more training." I look to Blake, "What did he mean play with."

Blake runs his hand through his hair, "Faith was his toy, no not sexual, but that all changed the night before we left. He was drunk after the ceremony, and dragged Faith upstairs.

One scream was all that came, usually there were no screams, but he broke her. She is one able to forget about things like this and move on, but her body is still healing from that night. She came into Victoria's room not even able to walk. She collapsed in my hands." He starts to cry; I feel tears of my own build up. "We thought we lost her. She was out for a full day." Blake stands up, "The rest she must tell you."

I get up to ready to go into the room. He grabs my elbow, "But with time, let her open up. She is good at covering up." No other word was spoken between him and me as he left.

I walked into the room. Alice, Jackie, and William were whispering about something if I wanted to hear I could but decided best not. I went and sat beside Faith. I said a prayer while holding her hand. When I said Amen I kissed her hand and went to bed. Everyone had left already and it was only midnight.
