Faith's P.O.V

I had fallen asleep under the waterfall waiting from Alex, and it was now midday. All of my dreams were full with Ashton. It scared me that if something went wrong he would so easily turn to alcohol. It made me shiver down to the bone remembering the things did to my brothers and I when we were young. They were not as bad as what Alex did, but we were so young.

I heard a twig snap and a low growl. I took a step out to the side coming out from under the waterfall. When I was outside I saw Keegan's wolf. He was sniffing the air. Growling at him got his 'attention, his eyes showed his smirk.

I shift back now wearing a white crop top with the words whatever in bold. My high waist shorts were black along with my boots with my hair in a messy French braid.

I smirk, 'I love your sense of style Sky.'

She laughed, 'Eh, I try my best for you.'

Keegan had shifted and come back in just shorts, showing his well-sculpted chest.

"I see your upgrade has fit you well."

I raised an eyebrow, "You knew I was the warrior."

He scoffed, "Everyone at the warehouse knew. How else could you fight so well, but I'm glad to see you here alone."

I smiled, "Those stupid people rejected me because I brought a war with me, and I want to take them down." He eyed me up and down, "What about that mate of yours."

I frowned, "He turned out to be like my uncle a drunk." Keegan still did not believe me, and I was disappointed in myself for saying this about my mate.

"Then you would have no problem rejecting him, so no one can find us." My eyes widened, rejecting your mate was supposed to be painful for both people even more if you were marked because the mark must come out.

I glared at him, "Of course."

'Please forgive me Ashton. I do not mean it,' I said through our link before cutting it.

'Sky please don't leave me. I don't know what to do.'

'Faith I am completely against it, but we have to get these troops. If we do we will be torn from the pain, and if we don't we will lose this war. We have to, and I pray our mate will forgive us.' She was sad we had to do this, and sat in the back of my mind moping over or mate.

I looked back to Keegan whose had an evil grin, "I, Faith Thomas Lee, reject Ashton Cain Smith as my mate." Right when Smith rolled off my tongue and into air I fell to my knees. I felt burning everywhere, tingling and sticking me everywhere. I screamed out in pain as the main source hit my neck. I felt as if I could breathe. My mark was leaving me, it was erasing. I could feel Ashton's pain, and I took it own sheltering him.

He deserved none of this. I sat here in this clearing for an hour as the marked was being removed. The burning never stopped, and the sticking, tingling, and pain never stopped spreading through out my body. I had taken both Ashton and my pain not wanting him to get hurt cause of me. Soon I passed out, typical me.

The back of my head was throbbing as I was being dragged across the ground. I reached to grab my hair and take it out of the hand that was dragging me. Once my skin touched his he threw me in front of him.

"You pass out and make me drag you this far I thought you were a warrior." I stood up, my knees were still weak and my head still throbbing but I didn't let it show. Both Sky and I were insulted that he thought we were not fit to be a warrior. He should bow to us.
