You Can't Run From Your Destiny

Chapter Thirteen

Ash P.O.V

Right as I am parked in my spot at Drake's pack house I am hit with this- this slideshow almost in my mind. It was full of me, in Faith's eyes. I watch it while sitting back into my seat. I am amazed by it. Let me correct that, I was amazed that was until I felt a pain through me, and a picture of a man being beheaded by a silver necklace. The picture makes me cringe and start to panic. Getting out of the car as fast as I can, I follow my nose I run to where Faith is.

When I find her, she and Jackie are hugging in Jackie's office. When Faith sees me she smiles. I am going to ask about everything, but before I could get one word out of my mouth her hand goes up. Grabbing my hand, she drags me out of the room and to the woods.

She finds this gorgeous clearing out in the woods, sitting down she pats the spot next to her, and so I follow in suit. She leans back taking in the sun beating down on her skin.

Sighing she speaks, "Okay, where do you want to start?"

I look at her, "How about the beginning of the war."

"Okay my brothers and I were out getting ice cream. When we heard our parents mind link us saying we should go and watch a movie. So my brothers and I did just that. We felt anxious in movies. Sensing something was wrong we hurried back home once we left the movie.

'When we got home there were people lying dead on the ground, my brothers tried to get me to leave, but I said no that we needed to find mom and dad. And that is what we did. On the way there we saw all of my friend's parents with bullet holes in them, burnt, or anything you can think of.

'When we walked in the pack house my grandma and grandpa were dead holding hands. My brothers and I didn't even have time to say goodbye. We heard a growl erupted from the living room. So we made our way there. I peeked around the corner to see if my dad and mom were there. Sure enough they were.

'There were eight men and one woman in the living all in cloaks. They had my dad restrained with a silver necklace around his neck, and my mom was being pinned against the wall. 'Where are your kids,' the guy who seemed to be the leader spat at my mom. My mom spit in his face. The guy lifted his hand and hit my mom. My dad growled. The man gave a signal to kill my dad. My brothers tried to grab me but I jumped out. Using my weak powers I stop the man from beheading my dad. In an instant my brothers transformed behind me protecting my sides. I killed the man restraining my dad, but the guy holding my mom stopped my dad before anything else could happen. My mom used her powers to get down from the wall, but was attacked by the woman. I quickly used my powers ands slammed her into a wall and suffocated her. When I did this the guy in charge fell to the ground. The other members backed him up; pinning my mom and dad so they could go nowhere.

'My brothers attacked but the leader stopped them. They were in mid air when he held them. 'You shall die' the man had said. All I could here were my brother's whimpers and then a two thuds."

I take a deep breath tears slipping. "He killed them in front of me. The guy never took his eyes off of me. He looked at my dad and motioned his men to bring him over. 'It is said the mate feels every pain of their even as they die. Obviously since your kid just killed the one I was mated with I must kill you.' He looked at me and pointed, 'This- this is your fault.' The guy walked towards me and got in my face looking at me. He put his hand to my hair and brushed it back, 'Unless you would like to be my new one.' My dad screamed for me to run. When I went to take off a force stopped me and lifted me off the ground choking me. The guys said he was very disappointed but pleased. He held his hand up and one of his followers tighten the silver necklace around my dad's neck. He did slowly. 'Don't look Faith. This is not your fault,' my mother had mind linked me. Soon the room filled with screams of my mother. They were slowly killing her mate.

'The guy drops her to the ground as she scratched at her throat. The leader drops me to the ground and I gasp for air. I look towards my mom. The leader is standing over her. He whispers something to my mom and her eyes widen with fear. 'Run Faith Run as fast as you can.' Stumbling I got to my feet and took of. Tears made my vision blurry so I reach the end of the driveway when I was grabbed. A bag shoved over my face; I was shoved into the van. The man who killed my dad, brothers, and mom said he would keep me as his pet. They shut the door, but that didn't shut it out. The ear-screeching scream filled with pain.

'What they did to her, I still do not know and don't think I want to. It scares me to think what they did to her. Everything they did to my family was my fault." When I heard the story I didn't know what to think. She had gone through too much for an eighteen year old to bear. She got up from her original spot and started to pace.

"Who was the leader?" I held back a growlwhile asking that question through gritted teeth. "Alex Roman," was her words.I could practically feel her beating herself up and we weren't even mates
