Ashton's P.O.V
We had been training for a week straight. None of us have slack off at all. The whole pack missed the soon to be Luna, and were dragging, but Cole and Dylan were building us to be stronger. They said we were stronger but not strong enough. We had taken a break when Lila came running outside crying. "Ashton, mom, dad something is wrong with Faith."
I felt my face go pale. My eating and sleeping were slacking until the pack doctors and witches fixed me up. I am still weak due to the fact my mate left me. My mind flashes back to when Faith rejected me. Cole and Dylan had just given us our first break.
"Okay you all take a 5 minute break," Dylan yelled out. My muscles are so sore and we have just started. I saw out of my side vision Aaron and Tristan with their mates. Wave sadness hit me. Not even a full day has past since Faith ran, and I am already filling the after affects.
"Hey brother, you okay," I hear Lila say behind me. She has been happier since she met her mate and less of a prankster.
"Yeah little sister. I awesome." I could tell my voice was not believable.
She opened her mouth, but was cut off, "All right everyone break is up."
I patted her on the shoulder and headed back to the training session. I had taken two steps from the bench when I heard Faith through the mind link.
"Please forgive me Ashton. I do not mean it."
Once she said that she cut our link. I stopped in my tracks, and I tried my hardest to break through. "Ashton-" Cole yelled but I fell to my knees.
A shearing pain erupted through my body. I hollered out, as the pain got worse. My family, friends, and the twins surrounded me. I could hear them trying to figure out what was wrong.
"Faith," I groaned out it hurt so much to speak.
"Faith, do you mean she is hurt," Cole asked with wide eyes. I shook my head. Pointing to my neck, that is were the most pain was at.
"Holy crap," my father said.
"She," said Cole.
"Rejected him," said Dylan.
I felt the pain numb but my heart was still broken. Why did she reject me? Was it because I drank? I stopped groaning in pain when the pain had become a numb tingling. The twins and my father looked at me weird.
"It should have lasted longer," said a confused Cole.
Dylan's eyes widened, "Do you still feeling something, like a light tingle?" I nodded.
Dylan fell back from his heels to sit in the grass, "Fuck she could die." We all looked at him just as confused. "She is taking his pain. She doesn't want him to feel the pain so her pain is doubled right now."
My father cursed under is breath. I pulled my knees up and rested my elbows on them.
I took me four days to sink in a deep depression, and only two for the pack doctor and witch to bring me back to health.
"Ashton, get your butt in here."
I had zoned out in my mates time of need. I mentally slapped myself. We had hurried up to my father's office where the package sat.
'Dear loved ones of Faith, especially her mate
I hope you enjoy this gift.'
