Faith's P.O.V

*The Night They Are Escaping

We were going down through the sewers successfully luckily no one cared to check down here. The hardest part would be getting past the guards. They were constantly around the perimeter making sure no one escaped.

"We can't stay down here long with Ashley as sick as she is," Blake whispered. I simply nodded, and kept pushing forward. The sewage was very small and was filled with nasty smells, rats, and dirty water. Not very appealing to my sense of smell, if I had to say so we smell like rogues.

Finally we were nearing the end of the tunnels. I was turning around to start planning. Ashley suddenly fell out in front of me, I went to pick her up, and she was burning up. I looked at Victoria. She had fear in her eyes.

"Go I will hold them off, while you youngins take off." I went to protest but she put a finger up, "We have no time for planning or waiting. You have to get her out right now." I gave her a hug with Ashley still in my arms. "Take her to a convent tell them about her, and who you are."

I nodded to her before saying, "This is not goodbye, I will see you again I will come back and save you." She simply nodded letting very few tears falling. Kissing me on the forehead she pushed me into the open and started fighting. I was about to step in and fight, but I felt someone pulling me.

"Goodbye," I whispered to her. Blake and I took off running through the tall grass still in human form.

We were on the outline of the forest before I could take another step, there was a scream, "Run!" I turned around only to see Victoria on the ground and Keegan grinning at us with a gun on Victoria's head. Before I could use my powers the gun went off. I fell to the ground crying with Ashley still in my arms in the corner if my eye a tall white and brown wolf stood beside me. I put Ashley on his back telling him to run, as well as myself.

We had been running a couple of days we have stayed away from most civilization not knowing what to expect. We lost the wolves a long ways back and turn back to humans.

"Faith, please just stop," Ashley softly breathed out. I looked at the bags under her loopy eyes, her matted hair, pale skin, and the blood running from her mouth. I felt every bit of emotion of me come out. I drop to the ground and cradled her. "Please don't leave me Faith; I want you to be by my side." I nodded quickly with tears still streaming down my bruised face. I sat in silence with her as Blake was running trying to find where we are.

I was singing a lullaby my mother used to sing to me, while rocking her back and forth. Blake had arrived breathless, "I know where we are, lucky this isn't but a 5 hour run from my packs territory." I nodded getting up.

"You hear that Ashley? We are almost there just a little longer." She nodded sleepily I put her on, the now werewolf, Blake's back.

We took off running only stopping for sips of water from occasional streams here and there. I was lost in my thoughts thinking of how Victoria lying lifeless on the ground. Great, now it's pouring down rain, this is not good for Ashley.

The thing that brought me out of my thoughts was the snarls coming ahead of us. I look up just to see a gray and white wolf and a red furred wolf jump out. The gray and white was tall, and muscular. The red haired fur guy was stronger and tall but did not compare to the black and white wolf. Blake quickly bowed. I, not knowing was going on, did nothing except get off Blake's back. The gray and white wolf snarled at me and leaped on me pushing me on to my back. I hissed at the pain from the whipping wounds reopening. Crap well more blood to deal with while fighting.

Blake barks at the wolf. Then seem to be having a conversation with their eyes, or is it the mind-link? Before they finished their conversation, Ashley was going into a coughing fit. I pushed the wolf off of me that seemed to surprise Blake, him, and the other wolf. I ran over to Ashley and picked her up. She wouldn't stop coughing globs of blood were coming out of her mouth. This was it she's dying.

I started crying, "Shh, Ashley. I'm here, I'm here."

She looked into my teary eyes, pushing my hair ever so softly she spoke, "Don't cry for me, be strong, I love you Faith." Her eyes brimming with tears, before I could speak, she gasped for air then laid her lifeless body in my arm. I started crying; I felt a hand on my shoulder. I look up to see a fully dressed Blake, behind him where two men dressed in skin-tight clothes.

I should felt power surging through me. Anger they are both dead. This power is nothing like my usual witch powers. It seems as if I am connect with something else: something that makes me stronger, out of control, and different. I started to scream my body once again on fire; a bright red light came from me pushing outwards. I heard bodies hit the ground and groans. Laying Ashley down, I let the light get stronger and stronger. It was taking over my body, making me weak to the knees; I had no control over it.

I put my now opened and slightly raised hands to my sides, looking at the worried Blake, I let the darkness consume me and to the ground I fell. How could I live my life no Ashley, no Victoria, and no family.
