Ashton's P.O.V

Waking up I felt different. It felt good to wake up. When I open my eyes I see why. My lovely mate is in my arms. I pull her in closer to me loving this position we are in. Thinking back to last night I growl waking her up. She turns around, "Hey... sorry couldn't sleep last night," she says with a smile on her face.

"Nightmare," I ask her.

"No," she can't bring her eyes to meet mine. Once again I growl; putting my hand under her chin I lift her head up. "I don't like it when you lie," I said, I can tell Ace is scratching to get out. She looks at me with sadness in her eyes.

"Yes," her voice is wavering, "I had a nightmare, but I don't feel like talking about it."

I nod, "I just want you to be honest with me." We stare into each other's eyes, after what seems like hours she and I start to lean in. She closes her eyes, and I take in her features. We are getting closer and closer by the second. Ace is getting madder by the second.

'Don't rush this Ace; it is our first kiss with our mate.' He growls but shuts up.

I am on the verge of our lips touching each other's. Right as our lips touch, nothing more just touch, someone barges into the room. Ace and I growl together pulling my mate into my chest. It is Jackie; "I need to talk to Faith right now." Faith unwraps my arms, kisses me on the forehead, and then leaves. Once they exit I fall back onto my bed. So close... so close to kissing her. I mentally slap myself for taking so long. I get up and head to Drakes office.

"Hey dude, I was wondering if you could catch me up on what's going on," I say to Drake as I walk into his office. He looks up from his pile of papers. "Sure, I am just looking at the reports from that one pack that was taken down." I think back to the reports I have seen; no, there is nothing about a pack being taken down.

'Father, later I would like to talk with you,' I mind link my dad.

'Sure son, how about we get something to eat at one.' I tell him that would be great.

"Okay, can you update me about this?" Drake nods and begins to speak. "Well as you already know they were taken down by rogues, but we thought that wasn't enough to take down the most powerful pack in the world. All of us Alpha's while you were out, started digging for info. As you know Rising Moon was a hybrid breed between witches and wolves. We do not believe just rogues took them down. Adding up the sudden disappearances of witches and less rogue sightings we believe a war is coming. We were correct by this." I look at him puzzled, "How do we know there is a war coming?" "There is a prophecy-" the phone ringing cuts him off. "Excuse me I must take this." I say my goodbye to him and leave.

A prophecy, I have never heard of this. It is only twelve so I decide to go see my friends. When I walk out to the back patio I see them and my younger siblings sitting there. Each with their mates, all expect Hunter.

"Hey I am glad y'all are staying. I heard Brian, Dad, and Mom went back to the pack." They all nodded. I sit down by Hunter,

"Have any of you heard of a war between wolves, witches, and rogues?" Mary and Bella laugh, while the rest of us are clueless.

"What are you both laughing at," Tristan asks.

"See we told all of you that it would bite you in the butt for not paying attention in History, and not to mention that's about every war. What do you mean," Bella says whipping the non-existent tears from her eyes.

"Hey history is history, it has nothing to do with the future," as Aaron says this, his mate connects her hand to his head.

"History has everything to do with the future you idiot," Mary says looking at Aaron with a 'duh' face.

"Okay, so would one of you goody goodies like to tell me about the prophecy?" I say the same time Aaron grumbles something about his mate being abusive.

"Oh the prophecy I think I know which one. Okay," Bella says, "It is told a great warrior will arise. This war is not to be long but a brutal one with many deaths. Maybe even the warrior's own life. Some witches are to join the side of the rogues, and together they form an army. With one man who himself is half witch, half werewolf leading them. This great warrior is to have Alpha blood and have a great white wolf. He is told to be the biggest wolf among everyone-" Mary cuts Bella off,

"Yeah I bet his wolf is dreamy." From there the girls begin to gossip about the warrior while us guys either growl or roll our eyes. Wanting to know more I interrupt the girls, "Would someone like to finish the prophecy?"

Bella looks up, "Oh yeah- my bad where was I ... okay, His wolf is different from everyone else's; bigger, stronger, a protector, pure white, and as war closes in his powers get stronger leaving him with tribal signs here and there. The warrior is full witch and full werewolf.'

' The wolf doesn't awaken until the warrior reaches 17. It is possible if trauma has happened the wolf will stay hidden until it is safe to come out. No one knows when the warrior is to come, but if this war comes the warrior won't be far behind."

I nod.

"Wow he sounds awesome," Aaron and Tristan say at the same time.

"Oh and the riddle," Mary says. "From greatness the warrior shall fall, from the fall the warrior shall arise. When the time right and the moon will reach its peak the white one will arrive. When the protector arrives, a great war will begin to brew. From the brew all shall bow from the warrior's greatness," Mary says trying to be really mysterious.

All of us guys snort, "Yeah that doesn't make sense nor does it rhyme," Tristan said. We all laugh and I head to go to my car and go eat with my father.

When I arrive to the breakfast diner about ten minutes from Drakes pack I notice my father already sitting in the window. "So dad I would like to know something." He nods sipping on his coffee. "What is this I hear about Rising Moon, the fucking strongest pack in the world, being taken down," I whisper as quietly as I can but can't help that I am mad at him. He spits his coffee back into the cup. Hastily he wipes his mouth and recomposes himself.

"I was hoping it would pass over before you were Alpha but you have found your mate, so I guess I am going to have to tell you. There are some parts you will have to ask Faith." I nod, but once I comprehend the sentence I am confused at why I must ask Faith. My dad seeing that I was going to question this put his hand up. I hold the question back.

"Rising Moon, the strongest pack was taken down a couple of months ago. Close to the assembly we had. As you know the Alpha and Luna of Rising Moon were the nicest around. I believed they pissed off the wrong group but I was wrong. I am sure Drake told you were suspecting not only rogues but witches too." I add in quickly, "and that they believe the prophecy is coming true."

My dad's eyes widen, "You know? Does that mean-." Cutting my dad's previous sentence not caring to listen,

"Who is this warrior guy, is he going to take over the packs?"

My dad's shoulders relax and he chuckles, "No not exactly, I was thinking you've seen the warrior."

I shake my head, "Nope no one under my radar."

He nods, he is thinking about something, but keeping it to himself. "Well anyway, why you want to ask Faith. Alpha Chris Thomas and Luna Amy Thomas had three children. Two twins, Cole and Dylan, and one beautiful daughter..." I look at my dad, waiting for him to finish. He just stares at me if I am supposed to piece something together. I stare right back at him motioning him with my hand to continue. Instead he sips on his coffee ignoring my request.

The grim look he has on his face makes me fill jumpy. Thinking back to the sentence he said early, I still don't understand. How does Faith fit into, Alpha and Luna Lee's problems. 'Wait at the hospital; she said her name was...' Ace starts. I quickly slide out of the booth and run to my car. Before I leave I her my dad say,

"About time boy, see you at home love you."' I roll my eyes then go speeding down the road
