It has been a week since my birthday. The day after my birthday we told Tristan and Aaron about Blake: least to say they were both devastated to hear about Blake's kidnapping.

Today I had school to attend to and take my exams. If I passed I would be exempted. Hopefully I would. I grabbed an apple and hopped into my mustang.

I pulled into my regular parking spot. This morning I was very early, so I just leaned on the back of my car and waited. When my friends arrived we talked for a while and headed inside.

The whole time I was taking the exams my mind wandered to the fact Blake had been taken. Why? It made no sense, he was only a beta; if they wanted to take down a pack why not take Drake while he was running, unless they wanted some one who I couldn't challenge their authority. "Time," I looked down at my sheet. Luckily I finished all but one question. Filling in the A I took my sheets and turned in my paper. Looking around me I noticed I was the last of three to be finished.

Getting home I walked to my cabin to get some rest, but my wolf and I couldn't seem to get comfortable. I heard someone knock on the door. Groaning I got up threw on a shirt and walked down stairs. I opened the door only to find Brian, "Ashton, you're needed in Alpha's office." I nodded and headed outside towards the pack house.

Once I entered the office, I saw my dad behind the desk with large amounts of papers stacked on the desk. Why hadn't we switched to computers still beats me but oh well. "Yes Sir?" My father looked up, putting his glasses down he folded his hands and laid them on the antique desk. "Brian and I have a serious matter to discuss with you." I nodded taking a seat at one of the leather chairs in his office. My brother walked up and sat on the corner of my father's desk. "I am stepping down from soon- to- be Alpha." Seriously confused by this I started spitting questions, "What? Why?

When? Where? Why?" My brother shook his head at my anxiety; "I had a dream last night."

I over dramatically gasped, "You had a dream? Wow."

"Ashton," my father scolded. I hung my head due to my father's harshness in his Alpha voice.

"Any way," my brother continued, "in this dream the Moon Goddess came to me. She told me things that will affect yours and my future." I was really curious now due to the fact the Luna was talking to my brother about his and my future. "She told me to step down from Alpha. She shall tell you later in time, but back to you. She wants for you to become Alpha because something that is soon around the corner." I was left gaping at Brain.

My father took over from there, "The Luna said to have the ceremony as soon as possible. So I will set that up for tonight at about 7:30 so get to work."

I still was frozen in my spot, which was until Brian grabbed me by the arm and tugged me out of the office. After a couple of minutes I pulled myself out of my daze and realized we were now outside of the pack gym. "What are we doing here?"

"Well since the Alpha needs to be the strongest in the pack and I have already achieved that I shall teach you. Starting in human form."

I nodded my head. We began in our beginning stance and went over basic maneuvers. After multiple changes that took a couple of hours, I know pathetic, we began the real fight.

"Remember do not get distracted or you will miserably fail." I nodded shaking my hands out and getting them in ready position. We started circling each other. I was looking for my brother's weakness, which he has none, so that made it no easier for me. Knowing my brother would not attack first I begun the fight.
