As they prepare for the mission, Porco takes every opportunity he can to steal glances at you.
During moments of quiet, when the others are occupied, Porco finds himself drawn to you like a moth to a flame. Your conversations are punctuate by brief, stolen touches, a brush of your hands as you pass each other, a whispered word of encouragement or support. Each touch ignites a spark of electricity between you two, fueling your longing for each other.

As the day of farewell draws near, Porco finds himself growing increasingly restless. The thought of being away from you for weeks or even months, not knowing if he'll return alive, is a heavy weight on his shoulders. He spends every moment he can with you, cherishing each touch and word, storing up the memories for the arduous journey ahead.

On the day they depart, Porco approaches you, his expression solemn but determined.
„I don't know how long we'll be gone for, but I wanted to say... I'll be thinking of you every step of the way. I'll do everything in my power to return to you as soon as possible."
He reaches for your hand, his fingers intertwining with yours, his touch gentle.
„Please don't think about me! You have to concentrate!" You try to be strong, but he can see through your facade.
He smiles softly, touched by your concern.
„I'll admit, it won't be easy. Fighting is easy, but convincing myself not to think about you... that's a different matter altogether. But I promise I'll focus on the mission and stay safe. For both our sakes."
He gently lifts your hand to his lips, placing a tender kiss on your knuckles, his eyes never leaving yours.

„Hopefully it will finally end...this whole damn war!" This powerlessness in the face of the current situation almost drives you mad, and you furrow your brow.
The soldier nods soberly, his expression serious.
„Yeah, hopefully it will. And once it's all over, I want to be by your side, without the threat of war hanging over us. It feels like we've been living under a shadow for so long... It would be nice to imagine a future free from all that."

You smile softly, your gaze locking with Porco's.
„I look forward to that future with you. Until then, promise me you'll take care of yourself."
You reach up, cupping his cheek in your hand, your touch warm and comforting.
Porco leans into your touch, his expression softening with affection.
„I promise. I'll be careful and come back to you in one piece."
He turns his head and kisses the palm of your hand, his eyes shining with a mixture of tenderness and determination.

„I'll miss you."
With a final bittersweet smile, Porco takes a step back, reluctantly releasing your hand from his own. His voice is soft, a hint of sadness in his eyes as he looks at you one last time before turning to join the others, his heart heavy with longing but resolute in his duty.

You watch him walk away, your eyes lingering on his form long after he's gone, your heart aching with a mixture of love and concern. You whisper a silent prayer for his safety, hoping that someday you could have the future you dreamed of together, free from the shadow of war.

As the days turn into weeks and weeks into months, your thoughts are consumed by worry for Porco's safety. Every night you find yourself lying awake, staring at the night sky, wondering if he's alright, if he's safe.

Meanwhile, time passes for Porco too. Days and nights blending together in a sea of battles and missions, each one more brutal than the last.
Though he fights fiercely and with determination, his mind often drifts back to you.
The battles take their toll on him, both physically and mentally, but the thought of you keeps him going, the image of your face and the sound of your voice echoing in his mind like a lifeline. It's the hope that someday he'll be able to hold you in his arms again that keeps him fighting, even when the odds seem insurmountable.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity, the mission comes to an end, and Porco and the others return home victorious. Exhaustion tugs at every fiber of his being, but the thought of seeing you again is stronger than any physical tiredness.
As he makes his way through the barracks, Porco's eyes scan the crowd, searching for any sign of you.
His heart pounds in his chest as he nears the spot where you said your goodbyes, his thoughts filled with the memory of your face and the taste of your lips.

Porco's excitement quickly turns to disappointment when he fails to spot you in the crowd. He couldn't deny the pang of deflation he feels, his mind racing with worry. Had something happened to you? The possibilities swirl through his mind, each one more concerning than the last.
He searches the faces of the soldiers around him, scanning the sea of unfamiliar faces, desperation beginning to take hold. Frustration and panic rise within him, his heart racing with fear as the worst-case scenarios play out in his imagination.

„She went home. It was an agreement between Magath and the Survey Corp. Levi took her with him."

These words have been going through his head for hours now. After Colt came up behind him to tell him. His feelings alternate between fear, sadness, longing and anger. He clenches his fists and has to stop himself from breaking something. He has no right to be angry in any way, but inside he curses all the people who took you away from him.

Porco looks at the letter that Colt had given him.
His heart pounds in his chest as he turns it over in his hands, his fingers brushing over the neat cursive script on the envelope. The sight of your handwriting sends a jolt of anticipation racing through his veins.
He carefully opens the letter, his breath catching in his throat as his eyes scan the page. Seeing the words, written in your own handwriting, brings a flood of emotions crashing over him. He can almost hear your voice as he reads, each line adding fuel to the fire of his longing and desire.
