Hange, sensing the slight tension between the two men, steps in to intervene. „Levi!", she says, her voice soft but authoritative, „Perhaps you should talk to Y/N. She seems quite attached to Porco, and it might help if you understand their relationship better."
Levi turns his gaze to Hange, his expression impassive. He understands the wisdom in her suggestion, even if he doesn't want to admit it. After a moment's pause, he nods slightly. „Alright." He responds, his voice betraying a hint of reluctance. „I'll talk to her."

Hange and Levi step out of the cell area, their footsteps echoing softly in the dimly lit corridor. The door closes behind them with a heavy thud, leaving Porco alone inside the cell once more.

„He seems oddly protective of her, almost like he cares about her. It doesn't make any damn sense. They also protected each other on the battlefield." Levi replies.
Hange nods.
„I've noticed the same thing. There's clearly a strong bond between them, and as much as I hate to admit it, it seems genuine. I wonder what happened to create such a bond between a Marleyan warrior and one of our own. It's puzzling, to say the least."
Levi sighs, running a hand through his hair.
„I know. It's frustrating. We're dealing with a dangerous enemy, and now we have this strange connection between him and Y/N to contend with. I'm not sure what it means, or if it's even real, but we can't ignore it either. We need to get to the bottom of it, and fast."

„Agreed. We'll need to talk to Y/N, get her perspective on things. She's probably seen aspects of Galliard that we haven't. But remember, we can't let our emotions cloud our judgement. We have to be objective, and do what's best for the safety of Paradis. We also have to find a solution as to what to do with Eren. Mikasa will soon go crazy." Hange looks just as exhausted and answers as the two walk up the stairs.

Levi's expression taut with tension.
„I know. I won't let my anger get the best of me. But you know as well as I do that it Galliard makes one wrong move, I won't hesitate to take him down, no matter what Y/N feels about it."

...

Levi enters the mess hall, his eyes scanning the room until they fall upon you. You are seated on one of the benches, your arms wrapped around your knees, a look of worry and exhaustion evident on your face. Your head is slightly lowered, your eyes staring blankly at the floor. He approaches you quietly, his footsteps barely making a sound on the wooden floor. He stops in front of you , his gaze studying you for a moment. The sight of your distraught state tugs at his usually stoic demeanor.

„Y/N!", he says, his voice softer than usual, yet still carrying that hint of authority. „We need to talk."
Your head jerk up at the sound of Levi's voice. You look up at him. There's a mixture of fear, hope, and exhaustion in your gaze. You nod silently, acknowledging his request.
Levi takes a seat beside you, his gaze fixed on yours. Then he takes a deep breath, finally breaking the silence. „How well do you know Porco Galliard?"

Of course you knew that Levi would ask you that sooner or later but the directness of Levi's query taking you slightly off guard. You hesitate for a moment, your gaze flickering with uncertainty. „We... we're close." You murmur, your voice quavering slightly. „He saved my life in Marley, after all..." Levi nods, absorbing your response. „I know about that." He remarks, his voice measured yet not without a hint of understanding. „But that doesn't explain the depth of your concern for him."

You look down, your fingers fidgeting with the fabric of your clothes. „I... I care about him.",  you confess, „He... he means a lot to me. He's... he's more than just a friend."
There's a moment of silence as Levi processes your words. So, your attachment to Porco is deeper than just friendship. He had suspected as much, but hearing it confirmed sparks a new level of complexity in the situation.
„I know you want to protect me and you have become like a big brother to me since my parents were killed by titans. But believe me, he is no longer an enemy to me.", you continue to tell.
Levi's expression softens slightly at your words. „I understand that, Y/N. But Galliard is our enemy, make no mistake about it. He may have shown kindness to you, but he's still a trained warrior from Marley. We can't trust him, no matter what you feel."

„I also told you about the others! Reiner for example! Everyone were nice! I'm really glad that you got me out of there but a part of me would have liked to stay there... with him."
,What the hell is wrong with her?' Levi thinks to himself, trying to remain calm.
„Y/N, listen to me. We need to think about this rationally. You're letting your emotions cloud your judgement. Those Marleyans are not our friends, they're our enemies. Just because they treated you well as a prisoner doesn't mean they won't backstab you at the first opportunity. Do you understand?"

„I understand what you're saying, but I can't help the way I feel. Porco and the others weren't like the monsters I thought they were. They're just like us. They have hopes, dreams, and fears like we do." You look at Levi, your expression conflicted.

Levi lets out a sigh.
„You're right, Y/N. They may share some of our experiences, our emotions, but that doesn't change the fact that they are still our enemies. I know it's hard to accept, but it's the reality we're facing. We can't afford to let our guard down, no matter how much you may have grown to care for them."

„I... I love him." You say suddenly, your voice barely above a whisper. The confession hangs in the air, the words laced with a mixture of fear, longing, and acceptance. It's as if a weight has been lifted off your shoulders by finally admitting your feelings out loud.
