After a few hours pass

You search for Mikasa, and finally find her in a small adjacent forest near the old headquarters, still trying to process the events that have unfolded. Mikasa had killed Eren with the help of Reiner, and Levi had slain Zeke. The battlefield was now marked by a somber silence, the intense battle having taken its toll on both sides.

„Mikasa." You say softly, „How are you holding up?"

Mikasa looks up, her eyes weary. The weight of the recent events is evident on her face. Mikasa slowly sinks to her knees, her body succumbing to the weight of the experience. The once formidable warrior is now a picture of vulnerability and despair. Your heart clench as you see Mikasa's collapse. You approach her, kneeling down next to her to offer comfort and support. Placing a gentle hand on Mikasa's shoulder, „Mikasa, I'm here. You don't have to face this alone." A tear rolls down her cheek as she tries to find the words to express her emotions. Your own eyes well up with empathy as you see the depth of Mikasa's sorrow. You wrap your arms around her, pulling her into a comforting embrace.

„It's okay." You murmur soothingly. „Let it out. You've been through so much..."

Mikasa buries her face in your shoulder, her body shaking with silent sobs. She allows herself to finally let go, letting the pain and grief pour out in the safety of your embrace. You hold her tightly, offering silent support. You rub soothing circles on Mikasa's back, trying to provide some comfort in this moment of raw emotion. As the tears slowly subside, Mikasa takes a deep, shaky breath, her grip on you loosening slightly. She raises her head, her eyes red and puffy, „I don't know where to go from here.", Mikasa says softly, „What do we do now?"
You look at Mikasa, your face reflecting compassion and strength. „We take it one step at a time.", you reply gently. „We rebuild, we heal, and we find a way forward."

Armin, Sasha, Jean, and Connie approach, their faces showing signs of weariness and sorrow. They join you and Mikasa, their presence an indication of the bond that still connects them.

The group gathers silently for a moment, their grief palpable in the air. They share a collective moment of contemplation, the weight of their losses heavy on their shoulders. You look around at the group, your gaze moving from one weary face to the next. The journey they have all been on has taken a toll on each of them, leaving scars that will never fully heal.

Mikasa stands up, „I want to bury Eren. Right now.", she states quietly. Armin responds instantly, without a word, the two walk off together, their bond as friends and comrades guiding them through this difficult task. The remaining members of the group exchange glances, silently understanding the importance of their friends need to honor Eren's memory. They decide to give Mikasa and Armin some privacy, acknowledging the gravity of the moment they are sharing.

Jean approaches you, a solemn expression on his face. „We should head back. Part of the old headquarters remains intact, and everyone is assembling there – both Marley and us." You nod, understanding the necessity to regroup and assess the situation. The battle might be over, but the aftermath would require careful planning and cooperation.

Your gaze flicker around, your eyes taking in the surroundings. On one hand, you yearn to see Porco, to know he's safe and sound, but on the other hand, you feel an inexplicable fear. The thought of what you might find makes your stomach knot with anxiety. As you approach the dining hall, the sound of voices and the soft glow of light from the open doorway fill the air. The hall, damaged yet still standing, serves as a makeshift gathering place for the survivors from both sides. Your heart pound in your chest as the dining hall comes into view. The open door creates an inviting yet anxious atmosphere, the sounds of hushed conversations from within only adding to your trepidation.
