Meanwhile, Porco, completely oblivious to the attention he has garners, continues training with all his might, beads of sweat rolling down his toned physique.
As Porco finishes his training session and takes a moment to catch his breath, Pieck approaches him with a curious glint in her eyes and says casually,
„You know Porco, I think you might have gained yourself a secret admirer today."

Porco looks at Pieck, puzzled by her words.
„Secret admirer? What the heck are you talking about?"
„Oh, someone was sneaking a few glances your way while you were training."
„Well, I'm not surprised. I mean, who wouldn't admire this perfect body, right? But seriously, do me a favor and keep your imagination in check." He replies confidently and pulled on his shirt.
„Oh, I'm absolutely sure of it. She was as red as a tomato, trying her best not to stare but failing miserably."
Without further comment, Porco leaves Pieck behind and walks back towards the military buildings. But nonetheless, a warm feeling spreads in his stomach.

In the evening

You are allowed to eat with the others.

Reiner immediately sits down next to you. Of course you know him from before, from your recruit days. He was always nice to you. And of course there are many unspoken things about what Reiner and the others did to you, but your side was just as involved.

Porco, noticing Reiner's attention towards you, feels a pang of frustration and jealousy. Не clenches his fists under the table, trying to hide his irritation.
Porco mutters under his breath: „Great, just what I need... Reiner already cozying up to her. Can this day get any worse?"
Pieck, sensing Porco's tension, discreetly nudges him with her elbow. She whispers, trying to lighten the mood.
„Hey, take it easy. There's no need to get all worked up over Reiner's friendly chat with her."

„Friendly chat, huh? More like him flirting shamelessly. I can spot his game a mile away." Porco huffs, still visibly bristling.
Pieck chuckles softly, realizing that Porco's jealousy is rooted in his own growing interest in you.
„Oh, Porco, are you feeling a bit possessive? It's adorable how you're getting all worked up over Reiner trying to steal your crush."
„Wh-what are you talking about? Possessive? Me? Pfft. I'm not possessive. I just can't stand Reiner hogging all the attention, that's all. And she is not my crush."

Pieck teases gently, „It's so obvious that you're jealous. It's like you can't handle the idea of Reiner talking to her. And don't deny it. I know a crush when I see one."
Porco tries to dismiss her accusations and retorts defiantly: „Jealous, yeah right. I just can't stand Reiner being so charming with everyone.
And Y/N clearly eating it up like she's never seen kindness before. It's irritating."

Late evening

Porco, still feeling restless and frustrated after dinner, decides to take a walk to clear his head. As he strolls through the garden, he notices you admiring the flowers you had planted. He stands there for a moment, observing you intently, feeling an odd mixture of irritation and intrigue.

The young man approaches you, his footsteps deliberately quiet. He starts, trying to sound casually annoyed,
„Hey, plant girl. You do know these flowers won't grow any faster if you stare at them all night, right?"
You jump slightly, startled by Porco's sudden presence. You turn to face him. Your surprise quickly replaced by a hint of wariness.
„Oh, um, hello, Porco. I didn't see you there. And I know they won't grow any faster, but I just like admiring them. They make me feel calmer, that's all." This time you try not to provoke him, at least not as long as he has himself somewhat under control.

„Calmer? Really? It's just a bunch of flowers. How do they make you feel calmer? They don't even do anything!" Porco scoffs, crossing his arms as he stands next to you.

You shrug slightly, a soft smile on your lips.
You explain quietly,
„I guess they just remind me of simpler times, when I was a kid growing up on the farm. I'd spend hours out in the field, planting and tending to the flowers. It was peaceful, away from the chaos of the world. These flowers make me feel a little bit closer to those simpler times."
Porco feels something inside him soften at hearing your words. He turns his gaze to the flowers, noticing their vibrant colors and delicate petals up close.
„Guess I never thought of it that way. They do look pretty, I'll give you that. But don't expect me to start having conversations with them or anything."
You chuckles softly, finding his bluntness amusing.

Porco rolls his eyes, secretly enjoying your playfulness, trying to maintain his grumpy demeanor,  „But don't think this means I'm going to start gushing over every flower I see now."
You smile, realizing he's trying to save face.
„Oh, don't worry, I won't expect you to suddenly become a flower enthusiast. I know you have a reputation to maintain, as the grumpy titan warrior who only appreciates a good fight."

„Grumpy titan warrior, pfft. I appreciate more than just a good fight. I appreciate a well-made meal, a comfortable bed, and a quiet evening without any annoying chatter." Porco lets out a half-hearted grumble, unable to suppress a slight smile.
You smile, finding his snarky comments endearing. You replies, still teasing, „Oh, of course. How could I forget? You're Porco Galliard, the ultimate connoisseur of comfort, food, and solitude. My apologies for overlooking those crucial aspects of your life. Forgive me, oh great Porco."

The young soldier abruptly changes the subject and  you look a bit surprised by Porco's question about Reiner but you answers him honestly.
„Yes, Reiner and I talked about our comrades, including Eren and Armin. Reiner seems to have a lot of respect for them...But why do you ask?"
Porco scratches the back of his head, feeling a bit sheepish for asking. He mutters, trying to sound casual.
„Heh, just curious. Figured Reiner might have been trying to butter you up or something. Can't trust the bastard, you know? Wanted to make sure you weren't falling for his lame charms or anything like that.
„And if it were so? He's definitely nicer than you."

„Nicer? Pfft, Reiner? All his so-called niceness is just an act, a way to manipulate people into doing his bidding. He's got a snake-like personality, you know. Always playing mind games. I'm just straight up honest and genuine. No need for fake niceness." Porco tenses up, a mix of irritation and jealousy bubbling inside him.
The blonde one scoffs, his frustration mounting, „Well, you don't know him like I do. I've known Reiner since we were kids, and I know he's got a manipulative streak. He always acts friendly, but then stabs you in the back when you least expect it. Trust me, plant girl, you 'll be better off staying away from him and his fake charms."
„You are jealous nothing more." You reply and stand up, shaking some dirt off your pants.

„Jealous? Me? Hah, don't be ridiculous. Why would I be jealous of Reiner and his empty charms? I've got nothing to be jealous of. Trying to save you from getting tangled up in Reiner's web of lies. Especially someone who deserves better than that." Porco frowns, gritting his teeth in frustration.
„I deserve better...So who do you think is better for me?" You fold your arms in front of your chest, looking forward to his answer.
