"Do you get it now?" Jordan question for the millionth time.

"No, no. No and oh wait. No."

I looked up to meet his gaze, he had dark circles under his eyes and a pained expression across his face; clearly stating the he was annoyed.

"Well let's just go through this again."

"No. I'm blown, Ima turn in." I stated grabbing.

"It's only five."

"It's only five." I mocked in a elderly man voice. He pushed his eyes over towards me before sighing and grabbing his things.

"Okay okay." Jordan agreed, "want to meet up before school tomorrow?"

"No I'm busy."

"Doing what?"

"Sleeping."

"Ashley! Someone's here for you." I heard my brother holler through the household.

I sighed, laying down To Kill A Mockingbird, and made my way to the door. I flashed my eyes forward and was blinded by bright blue eyes looking over at me. "Jordan." I breathed.

"Hey Ash," he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly before starting. "I was wondering if you wanted to go grab a smoothie? U-Uh, so we can study. With a smoothie, because smoothies are um uh.."

"Yes you goof." We laughed.

"So are you gunna wear that or.?" He asked, looking down at my very comfortable yet unstylish pj's.

"Oh uh, give me 5." I spoke, inviting him in.

He stepped in briefly looking around at the day old food cardigans and dust mites.
"Yeah you know im just going to uh, wait in the car if that's alright." He stated pointing a single finger behind him.

"Suit yourself." I shrugged.

Once he left I hurriedly went back to my room to change. I scanned my closet for something to wear but everything I did own that didn't smell horrifying was the girly shit I have to wear for family gatherings and.. church. I looked over to see a blue flannel along with some dark flue jeans. "That'll do." I shrugged.

-

"One strawberry smoothie and one cucumber." Jordan ordered. Before paying and getting the beverages.

"Cucumber?" I questioned as we took our seats.

"Yeah, it's literally the best thing ever made." He laughed, throwing off the lid and taking a gulp.

I cringed, "more like the nastiest."

"Well yours doesn't look so good either." He mocked.

I grabbed my smoothie and moved it away from his sight. "Shh.." I cooed, "his harsh words can hurt you anymore."

"Really." He asked.

"Really really." I laughed.
